Winter Has Arrived. . . . .

. . . .and in full force! It's snowing like MAD!

Three days ago it was 68 degrees, here in Minnesota, and right now it is snowing so hard you can barely see driving. I thought it was quite appropriate to change my blog header. We are suppose to get 6 to 10 inches of snow by Sunday morning. Here are a couple of photos I took, looking out my back door, onto my deck.

That tree you see is the same Autumn Blaze Maple that looked so gorgeous, not too long ago, with all the beautiful reddish-orange leaves on it. I sure am glad I don't work today! Hate driving when it's like this!

I guess there's no choice but to get used to it. This is what it's going to be like for the next 4 to 5 months. It is kind of pretty, isn't it? And it's also good for getting into the Christmas spirit! Need to get those Christmas cards finished up!

Hope everyone has a fabulous day! :)

goodness gracious Barb... Here I am getting set for summer and you are getting snow!!!! One thing about Auckland is it doesn't snow here... we get coldish wet weather in the winter. Just remember that once you pass December, summer is coming!!!! Take care and keep warm

Beautiful photos Barb, so pretty to see the snow falling, I find it funny that you are wishing to be here in our weather, but after today and the hot, hot and 100% humidity, I think I would love to be sitting with you in your house enjoying a hot chocolate with you and some chockie talking about crafting..LOL.

Keep warm, hugs!

It's gorgeous! I love the first snowfall (because I don't have to drive in it!). Your new header is perfect and loved seeing your pictures! Enjoy! I wonder if this is on its way to us?

Wow snow is coming! Your getting it sooner than us over here in Winterpeg! We had a bit of a snowfall on Thursday and of course everyone forgets how to drive in the snow (really hardly any snow was falling) and there was a 15 car pile up on the perimeter!!! (highway that runs around the city) Still no snow on the ground but if you have it, it means it's on it's way over here!

Let's see it that way: it goes beautifully with all of your Christmas cards ;-)
Good Luck, stay warm and don't you send it our way!

Really? Already, oh my gosh Barb! I can't even imagine, does it usually snow this early or is this the norm? Such a beautiful capture, I can see how this would help with the holiday crafting!

Hi Barb, The snow is pretty; especially when it is the very first snow fall of the year. Love the pictures of the snow and it does make it feel more like Christmas. Keep warm and be safe. Take care and God bless.

Hi Barb! Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog; I always love getting comments from you! I loved seeing your list of what you're planning on ordering. You're right; I always seem to spend a lot of money when I order from them, but I don't feel guilty about it. The prices are good, and I use all of their products over and over again. They just never cease to amaze me! It's been quite snowy over by my house, too. I can't believe we've gotten this much snow already! Thanks for the pretty pictures. I need to get some at night like that next time. Hugs!

Oh, not yet, please!! I've been feeling little sparks of Christmas mood last week, but then sun returned over the weekend and we were busy preparing the garden - now I would like snow to wait for some more weeks before coming to us :) I hope you are able to stay at home with some hot beverages and crafty stuff!

Oh my goodness Barb! For me who is not used to snow, this is just so dreamlike! But I can imagine that for someone living in a snowy place, life can perhaps get a bit challenging from time to time just to get daily chores and errands done! But thank you for sharing these photos!

Oh my, I'm not ready for this Barb! It's still been in the 60s and even hit 70 for us in Indiana last week. I'm hoping the snow holds off for several more weeks for us. :)

What beautiful cards! Love the papers on your first card and how you distressed it. The last card is a fabulous design! WOW! Totally not wanting that snow here. :)
