CAS-ual Fridays

Just a quick post tonight with a little something I created for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge #30. This time it's a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.

I chose the top row across, using scallops, polka dots and pink.

It's a little envelope, with a pocket inside, that I created by cutting, punching and stamping. It was really fun to make!

The cute, bright pink, polka dot paper is from Jillibean Soup. I used a small scallop punch from EK Success. A couple of clear buttons and some pink string help keep it closed. The stamped butterflies and sentiment are from Hero Arts.

Here's another photo showing how it unfolds and opens.

And this is the inside, stamped with the Flower Dot Pattern, also from Hero Arts. The pocket easily holds a gift card or money.

Thanks so much for taking time to visit me! Have a good rest of the week! :)

Card Set and Flower Photos

Happy Monday!

The weekend was a busy one, with working, stamping, inking and decorating. I have the day off today and I did something I rarely do. I went back to bed after my youngest son and hubby left for the day. Even though it felt awesome, I am now way behind on all the things I wanted to get done today. I haven't even visited your blogs yet, or stopped by the Flickr sight to comment on cards, but it'll all get done - it always does. :)

I created a card set yesterday for the Hero Arts December contest, using their gorgeous background stamp called, Flower Dot Pattern.

All were stamped with VersaMark and white embossed. The red and green ones were created using regular, white paper, then colored using Distress Stains. The light blue one, in the back, was stamped and embossed on vellum, then I used Stream Alcohol Ink on the back side of the vellum. The purplish one was created the same way, but I used watercolor paper. I don't have any purple distress stains, so I used Broken China and Worn Lipstick stains to get the purple shades. I love the result! Each card was then sprayed with Perfect Pearl water, for a shimmery effect.

Here they are individually:

I have another share for you today too. Just a few pics from work. Most of you have seen some from last year, but in case some of you don't know, I work in the flower department of a small grocery store. This time of year, I'm especially grateful for my job because it's cold and snowy outside, and it is so nice to work among flowers! The store is now decorated for the Christmas season. Here's our big tree, with all red and silver ornaments. Our bookkeeper made the beautiful bow at the top!

This year we decided to add some big snowflakes and ornaments, above my bouquet case, to match the tree. The "open ceiling" isn't my favorite thing, but I LOVE the way the pretty snowflakes and ornaments look up there! Makes me smile! :)

Here are two of my favorite poinsettias this year.

This white one with gold glitter is so elegant - everyone loves it!

This one is new this year. It's called "Cherry Chocolate" and I cannot keep it in stock!

The last thing I want to share is one of my favorite bouquets. It has beautiful, white lilies, combined with a sprig of spruce and some red berries. Just love it!

I want to give a special thanks to those of you who commented on my Lily Pad guest design post. It was quite an exciting day for me and all those comments made it even more so! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hope you all have a great week, and thanks for stopping by! :)
