A New Color Challenge at Lily Pad Cards!

Happy Friday!

I love Fridays, don't you?! Can't wait to get home from work later today, knowing that I have Saturday off! Such a great feeling to know I'll have some more crafty time soon! There is also another 90-Minute Scramble, hosted by Sue McRae, so I'm excited for that!

Today I'm sharing my design team card for the new color challenge at Lily Pad Cards. Here are the soft, pretty colors Kathy has chosen for this month. It may be a bit difficult to see here, with my blog background color, but the one on the left is a very light pink and, as you can see, the other two are lovely neutrals.

We are sponsored this month by Purple Onion Design! They have some wonderful stamps, including the ones I've used on my card today. It's a set of four lovely butterflies. Here's what I created, using all four.

I first tried stamping the butterflies with a few different pinks and neutrals, but didn't like the way any of the colors looked, so I decided to white emboss them on neutral paper.

The paper is from a 6x6 pack from BasicGrey called, Basics Kraft and the sentiment is from the, "Say It All" clear set, from Hero Arts - (love the font!)

Wait until you see the rest of the design team's cards! They are so awesome, and will inspire you to join in this challenge, I'm sure! So stop over at the Lily Pad Cards blog, where you can read the details and play along! Can't wait to see what everyone creates using these pretty colors!

Thanks for the visit! Hope you all have a happy weekend with some crafty time! :)

That touch of pink rally made this warm card, pop, Barb! And the embossed butterflies are simply perfect. That yummy lace is the perfect embellishment. A glorious card. Happy weekend, my pal.

Love this Barb. The colors are so soft and delicate....somewhat vintagey looking! Is that a ribbon that separates your card? If so it is stunning!

A gorgeous earth Palette Barb, and with the addition of the lighter, less saturated Pink, the intensity is removed and you are left with a touch of femininity to the card. Love all the elements too especially the Lace.
Smiles:)

Gorgeous card! Had to come see what you are up to after you were so kind to comment on my blog! Yes, that is a '70 Mustang. DH bought it in high school and we've kept it all these years. Now he has started using it for auto-cross and is that ever fun! I'm near Worthington, MN, where are you? We got 1 1/2" of rain the other day, thankfully not much snow!

Ok, that is going to confuse you! I commented on your blog "by mistake" as I was trying to find someone who commented on mine. She follows you and I clicked on your blog instead of hers! Fun anyway, fellow-Minnesotan!
