Hello!

I've had a busy week, getting ready for my family and working more hours in the floral department. I'm looking forward to spending time with all of my brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews on Easter Sunday! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

When Monday rolls around, I'll be getting back to my normal routine of commenting on Flickr and checking out all of your blogs - I've missed it!

I also want to thank you for the many visits, comments and wonderful support! I really appreciate it!

Hugs, and Happy Easter to all of you! :)

Kathy's Lily Pad Palette Challenge!

Hey there, and Happy Friday!

If you're looking for Lily Pad Cards' birthday blog hop, please click here.

A new month has started and that means there's a brand new color challenge from Kathy over at Lily Pad Cards!

We're sponsored this time by Lawn Fawn! How exciting is that?! I was lucky enough to be able to play with an adorable stamp set called, Flutter By. I LOVE the images in this set!

If you know me at all, you know I adore pink and green together, and if you throw in some yellow, it makes for one beautiful palette! Here's my card:

This cute set has so many flowers in it, and I didn't even use them all! It also has three different sizes of leaves, three gorgeous butterflies and two wonderful sentiments. I actually cut apart the sentiment to fit my card design - love doing that - gives me more options for my stamps. The flowers and butterfly were colored with Copics.

So, now it's your turn. Head on over to the Lily Pad Cards blog and join in the challenge. I know you'll love playing with these fun, bright colors, and wait until you see the fabulous cards from the design team!

Thanks for your visit! Have a great weekend, and Happy Easter! :)

Lily Pad Cards 1st Birthday Blog Hop!

Hi there!

It's a very special day today! The Lily Pad Cards blog turns 1 year old, and we're having a blog hop to celebrate! YAY!!

If you've come from the awesome and talented Cindy Chiu's blog, you're in the right spot. If not, make sure you go back to the beginning of the hop and follow along! The more you comment, the better your chances of winning some prizes!

There are three prize packages with a total retail value of over $300! These prizes will be awarded by random draw. To be eligible, please “like” us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lily-Pad-Cards/209133745764119, but if you don't have a Facebook account, you can also be eligible by commenting on the Lily Pad Cards blog. To better your chances even more, leave comments on the blogs participating in the hop. For each comment, you'll get your name entered again! (but only one comment per blog, please.) And the best part is, you'll have a week to comment - until Sunday, April 8th at 12:00 pm EST!

When I started to think about what I would create for this special day, I decided I wanted to somehow incorporate a picture of a lily pad into my card. I went searching on the web and found the perfect, uncolored drawing. I enlarged it a bit, printed it out and colored the image.

After finishing this card, I thought about Freddie the Frog. It wouldn't be a celebration without that cute, little guy! So I took the blog hop graphic above, printed it out, cut off the words, and added some patterned paper and a little string for a bow. So fun!

Happy 1st Birthday, Lily Pad Cards!!! And congratulations to Vicky and Deborah on a fabulous, successful, first year of fun!

Thanks for stopping by! Now it's time for you to hop on over to Dana's blog and see how she is celebrating this fun day! She has some serious talent that you do not want to miss!
