Guest Designing For SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone!

I'm so excited to be the Designer in the Spotlight this month for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog!

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

This week's theme is Christmas/Holidays and the design team are playing with products from Stampendous. You are not required to use them but if you have some, we would love to see them used.

I chose to play with the adorable, Whee Flight House Mouse image from Stampendous and colored him with Copics. I cut him out and popped him up so it looks like he's flying into the Holiday Frames die from Simon Says Stamp. My background was stamped with the Stampendous Cling Snowfall in Sea Glass Ink.

As always, there is a generous, $50.00 gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Store for one lucky random winner of this week's challenge!

Now it's your turn! Come check out the challenge and join in the fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by and a huge thank you to Lols and the Simon team for inviting me to guest design this month! ♥

Simon Says Stamp Celebrates Die-Cember!

Hi there!

I've got some fun, new goodies to share with you today.

I was so excited to receive some of the new dies from Simon Says Stamp to help celebrate Die-Cember! They have 15 new dies, which you can see here. It's a really fun collection with so many different designs!

I got right down to playing and created four cards and a tag to share with you today.

For this first card, I used the Mod Circle Frame Die. The possibilities with this one are endless! I cut it from white, green and blue cardstock and used the inlaid die-cutting technique. So fun!

My second card was created using the adorable die set called, Cup of Tea.

It comes with the cup, the spoon and a set of three sugar cubes. I cut out the cup from some glitter paper and the spoon from silver metallic paper. The sugar cubes were cut from white cardstock and I layered them four times to create some dimension. Then I added a bit of Frosted Lace Stickles for a some sparkle. Here's a close-up:

Isn't that adorable? Dies sure make it easy to create fun cards!

For my next one, I used the inlaid technique again but this time with the Balloon Bouquet die set.

I used all white cardstock then colored the different pieces of the balloons with my Copic Markers. Adding some shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen makes them even more festive!

And here's another card with a bit of elegance and yes, more sparkle!

That pretty flower cluster was cut with the Calliope Flourish Die. I layered it with blue and gray cardstock, off-set a bit for a shadow effect. Here's a close-up:

Okay, almost done! I have one more to share. This one is a tag.

The Garden Stems Tag Die is so pretty! The surrounding tag is part of the die, which I think is so awesome! I cut it from silver metallic paper and adhered it to some slate cardstock, which I cut in the same shape as the tag.

I hope you're as excited as I am about Die-Cember! Go check out the whole release here. I have my eye on about four more must haves! So hard to resist!

And don't forget it's Cyber Monday! Simon Says Stamp has a big sale going on too. Lots of other dies are 50% off. You can read all about it here and see this special category of dies here.

I hope everyone has a great week - thank you for stopping by! ♥
