Hi everyone,
I'm giving the Play Date Cafe Challenge a try for the first time. We are to use black and white with a splash of lilac. I ended up using more than a splash, but lilac is such a pretty color, I couldn't stop adding more of it! Here is the card I made, using the beautiful Flower Bird Garden cling stamp from Hero Arts.
I had the pretty pins that were both white and colored one of them a light purple with a Copic marker. The metal butterfly is actually a magnet that can be removed from the card.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Saturday!

90-Minute Scramble and Lots of Buttons
Hi all,
Hope you had a good weekend! I had the pleasure of hosting another 90-minute scramble on the Hero Arts Flickr sight on Saturday and it was so fun! The theme was "Frame It Up" and I wanted all those playing along to use a frame somewhere on their card. There were some amazing cards created in under 90 minutes! You can see them all here.
I made two cards as examples for the scramble. This first one uses a beautiful chipboard frame I received from my Flickr friend Greta. Thank you, Greta! I thought the Fab Flourish went well with it.
This next one is very simple. Just stamped the Magical Background, added a die cut frame and a butterfly, colored with Copics. So easy. The little white dots on the butterfly are Enamel Accents.
After the scramble was over, I still felt like creating and wanted to use the Magical Background again. I thought it would be fun to see it in red and I had these adorable buttons from Doodlebug Designs. The two just seemed perfect for each other. I used a Tim Holtz edge die cut too.
Well, that's it for today. So glad you stopped by. I love reading your comments and appreciate them so much! Have a great Monday! :)
