Hey everyone!
We have a new Simon Says Stamp challenge going on over at Lily Pad Cards! This time it's all about rain. Yup, it's a "Rainy" challenge. Now, I have to be honest with you. I was in a bit of a tizzy with this one. I had to think hard to figure out what to do for my design team card. For days, I kept wondering what stamp I was going to use and could not think of a single stamp to use for rain. Then it hit me! I have this stamp set from Penny Black!
Do you see the cute Hedgies under the snowy umbrella? Well, I decided I could use this stamp for the challenge, if I just change up the umbrella and add a bit of rain, and it worked! :)
I drew my own umbrella onto patterned paper, and paper pieced it over the original one. I also drew the clouds by hand and all the little raindrops too. The image was colored with Copics.
I love the way it turned out! Sometimes being challenged outside of your comfort zone ends up being the best part of this wonderful hobby!
Thanks for stopping by! Head on over to the pond and check out the wonderfully creative cards from the rest of the design team. You'll also find out about all the details of this fun challenge.
Thanks to Dawn, I am also entering this into the "Oh, So Cute" challenge over at Penny Black and More.
Hope you all have a happy (not too rainy) weekend! :)
