Happy Birthday To My Boys!

Happy Friday!

Today, my youngest son, David, turns 18! He has such a happy disposition. He loves animals, he makes me laugh everyday and he still gives me hugs whenever I want - love that! :) I made him a card using the Number Pattern background stamp from Hero Arts. It's become my go-to stamp for birthdays this year.

I stamped it in black onto a darker kraft card base and added the sentiment and chipboard numbers with dimensional adhesive. Happy Birthday, David! I love you!

My older son, Erich, has a birthday coming up too! He'll be 22 this coming Monday. He is so intelligent, quite shy, very sweet, and he has the most gentle soul of anyone I know.

For his card, I used the same stamp, but this time I used Cup O' Joe Mid-Tone Shadow Ink and stamped it onto a pool colored panel. Then I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I added a bit of twine across the sentiment strip, and those little brown embellishments are Enamel Dots. (LOVE!) I didn't have any brown ones, so I colored a few white ones with a Copic marker. Happy Birthday, Erich! I love you!

Hope everyone has a fun weekend! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Pretty Painted Flower

Hi there!

If you're looking for my Stamp Fever-Lawn Fawn, blog hop post, please click here or scroll down.

I'm still playing with the pretty stamp from Hero Arts called, Painted Flower. I've told you before that it inks up so beautifully - already shaded - no coloring necessary. Don't get me wrong, I DO love to color, but when I'm in a pinch for a quick card, this stamp will be one that I reach for!

For today's card, I had already stamped the flower with markers and it was sitting on my desk waiting to be put on a card. But then I saw a card from my friend Jacqueline, here. She stamped it on a tag using only black ink and it was beautiful! That gave me an idea. Why not overstamp the blue flower with black ink and see what it looks like.

I really love the way it turned out! I created the background using Glimmer Mist and added some more splatters with blue and black, watery ink and the flick of a paint brush.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're enjoying your week! :)

I'm so excited to be a part of this special day and I had such fun creating a card using four different stamps sets from Lawn Fawn!

I used the adorable camera and Polaroid images from the "Say Cheese" set. I colored the camera with gray Copic markers and used Distress Inks for the sky and grass. The tulips were stamped across the the grass and also colored with Copics. They're from the "Happy Easter" set - so cute! That sweet little bird, talk bubble and "yay" are all from Lawn Fawn's, "A Birdie Told Me" and the birthday sentiment is from a set called, "Year Three."

I had a hard time putting these fun stamps away, and even though this is a blog hop celebrating Lawn Fawn's Birthday, I just couldn't help myself and HAD TO create an Easter card too!

All the stamps used on this card are from the "Happy Easter" set just love it! I masked off the bunny and chick before stamping all the tulips.

Don't forget that Stamp Fever carries all of these adorable Lawn Fawn stamps and SO MUCH MORE!
