Not Feeling Well. . .

I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I have not been feeling very well the last few days. I've got a nagging pain in the lower left area of my abdomen. I've got an appointment next week to get it checked out. It's quite uncomfortable sitting at the computer for long periods of time, so I have not been, and will not be, around as much as I normally am.

Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. . .

Just Had To Do Another!

I know I've already created two cards for the Lily Pad Challenge but I wanted to do another, this time in some pretty purple shades.

Using Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord distress inks, I stamped them onto my craft sheet again, then spritzed with water. Taking the white panel with the white embossed Old Letter Writing, I smeared it around in the inks. I then stamped the inked panel with the Fabulous Flourish in Dusty Concord ink.

I don't normally say this but I really like the way it turned out!

I was looking for an embellishment or two to add to the card and remembered I had some of the Hero Arts Jeweled Flowers. I thought this one was perfect to finish off my monochromatic card.

Short post this morning as I will soon be heading out the door to go to work. Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for coming by! :)

Another Resist Card

After creating my first card for the Lily Pad challenge, I remembered how fun it is to use the resist technique, so I just had to make another one! This time I used the beautiful hydrangea stamp from Hero Arts. It's always been one of my favorites.

I first white embossed it onto a scrap piece of white card stock. I then blotted three distress ink pads in Wild Honey, Fired Brick and Mustard Seed, directly onto my craft sheet, spritzed them with water and smeared the hydrangea piece into the ink. I love doing resist this way because you never know how it's going to turn out.

I used some patterned paper and one piece of colored card stock, stamped with Old Letter Writing. I added three buttons and string to complete the card. I'll be sending this one to my sister and her hubby to thank them for the fun time we had out on their boat the other night.

I'm back to work tonight after a nice long break. I was lucky to have beautiful weather all week and lots of time to craft!

Thanks for stopping by and have a good start to the week! :)

CAS-ual Fridays

Hi all!

I wanted to use up some of my many stickers, and the CAS-ual Fridays challenge is the perfect opportunity to do just that!

I decided to make a birthday tag with some fun, bright and sparkly, star stickers. I also used the "Happy" greeting-text stamp, from the Hero Arts, Dictionary Greetings set.

On another note. . .there's a scramble today over on the Hero Arts Flickr sight. It starts at 1:00 Central Time. I'll be playing, will you?

Edited: If you missed the scramble, we had so much fun today! Judy did a great job hosting! You can check out all the entries here.Link

Thanks for your visit! I really appreciate it! Have a wonderful Sunday! :)
