I'm so excited to share lots of cards with you today for my stop on day 2 of Simon Says Stamp's, Sending Sunshine release blog hop!
Let's take care of the important stuff first though. Simon is giving away a $25 gift certificate at each stop along the hop - whoot! All you need to do is comment on as many blogs as you can, for a better chance at winning! Simon will announce the winners over on their blog on Wednesday, May 23rd.
AND . . . I have a coupon code for you too! If you use the code, SUNSHINE with your purchase, Simon will send you a free gift! How cool is that?! The code will expire on 5/20 at 11:59pm EST.
If you've been following along on the hop, you should've arrived from the very talented, Amy Rysavy's blog, Prairie Paper and Ink. If you'd like to start at the beginning of today's hop, head to the Simon Says Stamp blog. If you missed day 1 of the hop, head here.
I've created lots of cards with the goodies I received, so I won't go into to too much detail for each one, otherwise this already long post would be even longer! If you happen to have any questions, just email me and I'll respond. You can find my email here.
All the products I used are listed below this post in the affiliate links, at no extra cost to you.
First up is this really cool, graphic background cling stamp called, Deco Diamonds. There are so many different techniques you could use with this fun stamp! I used the resist technique and Distress inks with water on my first two cards but on the second one, I added more color around the squares with a Zig marker.
And because I love the, You Are My Sunshine sentiment die, I used it on another card, along with an older stamp called, Center Cut Flowers, from Simon's previous release. I colored the flowers with Copic markers.
This next stamp set is really pretty! It's called, Wreath Greetings and I loved doing a bit of messy water coloring on the wreath!
I used another image from
the same set on the card below, with some very simple Copic coloring.
For this next one, I used the beautiful, Flower Cluster die. I left it white but just think of all the ways you could use this pretty die! My background was created with Distress Inks and water.
Okay, to say I love this next stamp set is an understatement! It's called, Hello There and it is so adorable! I used it on my next two cards. On the first one I just created a simple watercolor background with Distress Inks and colored the critters with Zig markers. Don't ya just love the tin cans with string! Makes me giggle!
I decided I wanted a different design for the next card by placing the critters further apart but I still wanted to use the tin cans, so I added real string this time! Ha! Can ya see it?
Here's a close-up.
And last but not least, the gorgeous, Spring Flower Burst! I adore this set and had so much fun water coloring this image!
I hope I've given you some inspiration today! Thank you so much for stopping by! ♥
