I'm back with another awesome release from Simon Says stamp!
It's their July release called, Friendly Frolic and they generously sent me some of the new products to play with. It's a really fun release with wonderful stamps, stencils and dies - so many new Picture Book dies - yay! I had a tough time trying to stop playing with everything, so I've got a bunch of cards to share with you.
I'm personally giving away a $25 gift card to Simon Says Stamp so check out how to enter below.
All products used are listed at the end of this post in the affiliate links, for your shopping convenience, at no extra cost to you.
For the first few cards, I used the Plantiful Puns stamp set, colored with Zig Markers. The images are so fun to color and the sentiments are adorable!
On this first card, I also used the new Diamond Pattern cling stamp, embossed with clear embossing powder for a tone on tone look on my background.
Here's another example using the Plantiful Puns set.
Isn't that sentiment cute?! That leaf stem stamp in the background also comes in the set.
I adore this terrarium stamp, also included in the set! I covered the entire image with Glossy Accents for a glass effect. I ended up with some small bubbles but I still love it.
Here's a close-up.
For the next card, I used the Leafy Frame die. I mixed a bit of Pine Needles and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks with water and painted the leaves.
I popped up the die cut panel with foam adhesive.
This next one is so simple and easy to do with any die, especially if you feel overwhelmed by how intricate it is. I just took some of the many pieces from the beautiful, Folk Dance die, colored them with Copic Markers and adhered them to the panel.
Then I decided to use the entire negative portion of the Folk Dance die for the next card.
I played with Distress Inks again for a watercolor look. Blues and purples are a favorite combo of mine and always work beautifully with any type of floral product! I put a bunch of small adhesive pieces on the back of the die cut panel and popped it up against the inky background.
I blended some Distress Inks onto a white panel, (no water this time) in a rainbow of colors, then popped up the die cut panel using the, Diamond Pattern Die. Love how it turned out!
The last card is my fave. This Folk Dance cling stamp is so pretty! I white embossed it and then played with lots of pastel watercolors to create the dreamy background.
I hope I've given you some inspiration for using some of the new, Friendly Frolic release products! I'd love to hear what you think about the release! Leave me a comment and I'll randomly choose one to win a $25 gift card, FROM ME, to the SSS store! I'll announce the winner here on my blog on August 2nd.
Thanks so much for stopping by! ♥
