Hi everyone!
I have an exciting week on my blog starting with today. Awhile back, my sweet friend,
Joy Taylor, asked me if I wanted to do a CASE challenge. Of course I jumped at the chance! Joy's cards are always amazing, she is so talented and she is also one of the very first friends I made in the Hero Arts Flickr group over a year ago. Last year we were even Hero Hostesses together!
We've decided to CASE each others cards, doing a total of three. One card, every other day, so make sure to come back on Wednesday and Friday for the other two cards! I'm also planning a little giveaway.
All you have to do is become a follower (if you're not already) and leave a comment. Make sure to comment on all three days for a better chance at winning. I will choose one, random comment from all three days combined and announce the winner on Monday, June 13th. The winner will receive 5 rolls of satin ribbon, in a rainbow of colors and a Calypso Tin of 64 Prima flowers.
Okay, so let's get started! Going through
Joy's photostream was pure. . .well. . . joy! It was really difficult to choose only three cards to CASE because I love them all!
Here is Joy's card I chose for today:

Don't you just love the softness and colors?!
And here is my take:

I used the same design and colors, just switching up the stamps. I went a little crazy with the pearls, but just couldn't stop! It's difficult to see but on the bottom, green portion of the card, I used the Hero Arts, Graph Background stamp. I also used the Hero Arts Long Stem Flowers, stamping them in VersaMark, then white embossing them before adding a bit of a darker lavender color, with a Copic marker, for some interest. The sentiment is also from Hero Arts.
I hope you enjoyed our first challenge day! Please join me in heading over to
Joy's blog now, to see what card of mine she's chosen to CASE. We didn't tell each other which ones we've chosen, so I'm excited to see what she's created and I know it'll be amazing!
Thanks for stopping by today! I so appreciate your visits and comments! :)
