Fun First Day at Scrapfest!

Hi there!

I just got back from Scrapfest at the Mall of America. Our first day was great! I caught up with Linda, Jenn and Anita! It sure was fun seeing them again! We also met Trinh and Robin this year! Most of us had different class schedules today, so we had to split up for awhile, but I do have some photos to share.

These first three are so dark. . .my camera flash was not working. . .sorry! This is the Hero Arts Make and Take booth. They're sharing one this year with Basic Grey! Yup, that's Shari Carroll!

This is the card we made with Shari and Jennifer. It uses the new clear stamp set from Basic Grey and Hero Arts called, Butterflies and Wildflowers.



We decided we needed to get a bit goofy, so here we are having fun. This is Robin and Trinh!

After our little photo fun, I had to rush off to Tim Holtz's class called, The Artful Journey. I'm working hard on making my album.



Tim is a great teacher, so funny and so very creative! The class was an hour and a half long and here is the finished album.

So that was my first day. I walked around a lot with Trinh and Linda, doing 4 other Make and Takes. The lines were long but worth it. I won't bore you with the things we made. I now realize I didn't get any photos of Linda or Jenn today. I promise to do that tomorrow! We'll be seeing a couple more friends too. Anne and Britta will be there. All eight of us are in the same two Hero Arts classes and we'll be having dinner with Shari and Jennifer in the evening, so I'll be posting those photos in the next couple of days!

A Tag For a Few Challenges

Hey there everyone!

I needed a tag to put on a thank you gift for a friend. I decided to use some paper piecing so I can enter it into the CAS-ual Friday's challenge, Falling to Pieces. I stamped the small flowers onto some patterned paper, cut out and placed them around the wreath.

I used a small scrapling, so I'm also entering this into Dana's first blog challenge. You can find the details here. I think the colors are Fall-ish enough too, so I'll also enter the Hero Arts contest with it.

This will be my last post before heading to Scrapfest this weekend! I am so excited to see everyone, take some fab classes, do some awesome shopping and just have fun! Thursday evening, right when I get off work, I'm heading to the Mall of America to check in, get my badge and hopefully meet up with a few Flickr friends that are there early too. Then the real fun begins Friday! I'll be posting photos from the weekend, probably each day, so please stop back to see all the fun we're having!
