Hi there!
I hope you've all had at least a bit of time to get crafty and celebrate World Card Making Day!
I created a few cards earlier and am sharing two of them here. This first one is a Christmas card - thought I'd better get started on them!
I love this die from Memory Box! It's called Frostyville Frame. I've had it for awhile and just haven't used it yet. Thought it would look pretty with a silver embossed sentiment from Hero Arts. Simple but elegant.
My next card was created for a special lady who could use some hugs right now. After seeing this card from Shari Carroll, I had to create a similar one! She continues to amaze me with her talent and creativity!
Here's my take:
I used the Circle on a Line die from SSS and paper from the same paper pack as Shari. I left out the flower and instead, stamped a circle from the Simon Says Stamp Lots of Dots set, punched it out and added sentiments from Hero Arts. I also added just a bit of splatter.
I just have to say, that on this special day, when we card makers can celebrate our hobby, I am so very grateful for all the friends I have made from around the world! Just think . . . if I hadn't started making cards almost 4 years ago, I would never have met any of you (some in person, some online.) I feel so blessed to have inspiration, support, encouragement, love and friendship from all of you - Thank you!!!
Hugs and Happy WCMD!!! ♥

Mixed Media Canvas
Hi there!
It's a gorgeous day here in the Upper Midwest! Might be one of the last days with temps in the low 80's for awhile, so as soon as this is typed up, I'm heading outside for the rest of it!
I finally had some time to play with one of the little canvases from Tim Holtz's Scrapfest class. He gave each student a pack of four - so generous!
Here's what they looked like in the package.
I used the one in the upper right corner. I wanted to go with an autumn theme along with the colors of the season. I used lots of Distress Paints and Inks, stencils from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous, stamps from Hero Arts and Technique Tuesday by Ali Edwards, embossing paste and Stamper's Big Brush Pens from Faber-Castell. Here's the finished project.
I love how it turned out! I just kept adding layers of colors and stamps. The orange leaves on the vine were created using a stencil and white embossing paste. Then I added color to them with the Stamper's Big Brush Pens. The other leaves along the edges are from a Hero Arts set called, Antique Flower Engravings. The numbers here and there are also from Hero Arts - their cling, Number Pattern background stamp.
The small words are from Tim Holtz's Chitchat Seasonal Stickers. . .
. . .and the stamped words are from Technique Tuesday by Ali Edwards.
I had so much fun creating this canvas! I know I've said it before but I am just LOVING mixed media!!
The only thing I don't like about it is having to clean up after I'm finished! It's all worth it though! :)
So glad you came by to visit me - thank you! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week! ♥
