I Have the Best Job!

Hi there!

I wanted to share a few photos of my favorite time of year where I work. In case you don't know, I manage the floral department of small grocery store. When spring comes each year, we receive the most awesome plants!

I think part of the reason I love this time of year so much at work is because by now I am tired of the darker colors, with reds and greens during Christmas, then more red for Valentine's Day. I get so tired of red!

I didn't have a whole lot of time to take pictures but did shoot a few of my faves. So here they are - enjoy!

This is a pink, Angel's Parasol Hydrangea and I just love it!!

Same plant only in a very soft purple shade - love this one even more!

Isn't that the brightest, yellow, Gerbera Daisy you've ever seen?!

Hands down - Hyacinth are the best smelling flowers EVER!!! (Well, I do love the smell of Peonies too.)

Believe it or not, this is just one Hydrangea. One plant. It is so huge and so gorgeous! I got six of them in last Friday and when I got to work on Sunday, they were all sold! Isn't it amazing?!

We've got lots of pink plants. This pic shows a Hyacinth, a Cyclamen, a Tulip and a Primrose.

And one last photo. This is a box with a bunch of bouquets inside. I actually smiled when I opened this one. Such a wonderful bouquet - filled with springtime colors!

Hope you enjoyed a peek into what it's like where I work. Thanks for stopping by! ♥

Rainbow of Butterflies

Hi there!

I'm quickly sharing a couple of cards I recently created using some new Simon Says Stamp goodies. I haven't had a whole lot of time to create and am heading off to work soon but wanted to get these two cards posted.

The first one uses the new SSS Butterfly Drift Die.

I cut out the butterflies with regular, white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the inlay die-cutting technique, added a bit of Wink of Stella and white pearls on the three larger butterflies. So easy and quick! That sentiment is from the new Butterflies clear stamp set.

The same techniques were used for my next card.

I love the new Tall Flowers Die! So fun to play with! The sentiments are from two different, new sets. "Just for you" is from the Summer Garden set by Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp and the "just because" is again from the Butterflies set.

Okay, gotta run! Busy, busy week at work. I am loving all the beautiful spring plants and bouquets coming in. My department is so full of wonderful color and fragrance! If I have time, I'll try to take some photos to share.

Thanks, as always, for your visit. I so appreciate it! Have a great week, and an early Happy Easter to all! ♥
