SIMON GALLERIES:

Did you know Simon has card galleries for each of their releases and their card kits, and even a video gallery? It's true, and you can add YOUR VERY OWN CARDS AND PROJECTS to these galleries! Here's a link to all the Simon Brand Galleries, and here's the link to the new, In My Heart GalleryThere is so much inspiration to see! I encourage you to check them out and add your own cards/projects as well!

MY CARDS:

I had so much fun playing with some of the products from this awesome release! First up is the Wild Rose stamp set. I water colored the images with Zig Markers. I usually don't use such a bright, bold pink but I like how it turned out.

My next two cards showcase the Everlasting Flowers embossing folder. I got my Alcohol Inks out for this one. It's been awhile but I always love playing with them!

My second card using the same embossing folder didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to but this is such a cool technique, I wanted to share it. Kassi Hulet shared this technique on her YouTube channel here. You make a blotter with toilet paper, believe it or not. You spritz small sheets of toilet paper with a bit of water, layer them together, place them inside the embossing folder and run it through your machine. Then, after letting it dry and inking up a watercolor panel, you lay the blotter on top of the panel and gently push it down for a bit. When you lift it up, it will have removed some of the ink and creates the image of the embossing folder. If you've never tried it, you should! It's a fun way to stretch your supplies!

Next up is a die set called Floral Birdscape and it's a beauty! I shaded all the pieces with some soft, pretty inks and used the inlay die cut technique with the flowers and leaves. Then I popped up the dove with foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension.

Okay, one more. Here is the Bows For Days stamps, dies and stencil bundle. I used the stencil in the background before adhering the stamped and die cut bows to the card. I also white embossed the new Best Mom Background stamp over the stenciled panel.

That's it for me! I'm so glad you stopped by today - thank you! I hope I've given you a few ideas for using some of the products from this fantastic release! You've got just one more stop to go on the hop and that's Debbie. She's so talented! I know you'll love whatever she created!

MY CARDS:

I had lots of fun playing with some of the products from this release! My first card showcases the Leaf Spin embossing folder. I embossed the image onto dark card stock and used white pigment ink to highlight the leaves. A bit of twine and a heart-shaped sentiment finish it off.

Up next is the Scattered Leaves stencil set. This set comes with two stencils. I also used some silver metallic card stock for a matte and the sentiments.

Ready for a cute one? this stamp set is so adorable! It's called Bunny Bonanza. I colored the images with Copics, and because I didn't have the matching die set, I fussy cut them out before adhering them onto an embossed, blended panel.

For my last card, I used the Wildflower Bucket die set. Wow, does this set ever make an impact! I loved shading the bucket and each of the floral and leaf pieces, then putting it all together! So fun!

That's it for me. I hope I've given you a bit of inspiration for using some of the products from this fabulous release! Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget day two of the hop is tomorrow, starting on Simon's blog.

Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Tim Holtz Stamps and SSS Coordinating Dies Blog Hop!

 Hi friends!

I'm excited to be a part of this fun blog hop, showcasing the new, coordinating dies to match some of Tim Holtz's fabulous stamp sets! If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, click here.

SIMON GALLERY:

Make sure you check out Simon's Gallery to see a ton of amazing inspiration for these stamps and dies! You can check out the gallery by clicking here.

MY CARDS:

I've created just a couple of cards so far with these products, using two of the stamp sets and their matching dies.

This first one features the Field Notes bundle. I used some of my favorite Distress Ink colors for a simple layout. I love how some of the dies have tattered edges, which gives them a more feminine look. The sentiment is from an older stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

The other card I created showcases a fun set called The Professor. I must admit, playing with images like these is well out of my comfort zone but once in awhile, it's good to just play and get inky. I could easily send this to one of my boys for their birthday, as the images are perfect for a masculine card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop! Happy crafting!

MY CARDS:

I've got four cards to share with you today and they all have very simple designs. I tend to make clean and simple cards when I lose my mojo, which seems to happen every January. I blame it on winter. Lol!

For my first card, I used two new products from this fabulous release - the Wonderland Snowflakes embossing folder and the Heart Suite stamp set. The sentiments and fonts in this set are so pretty!

Up next is another card using the Wonderland Snowflakes embossing folder. This time I embossed it with glossy white card stock. I also used glossy red card stock for the Warm Thoughts die set. Wish you could see how shiny the whole card looks!

I used this sweet bear die from a previous release to help showcase the Falling Snow cover plate die. I thought they were perfect together. The sentiment on this one is from the Label Slides Love and Friendship stamp set.

For my last card, I used the Loving You Bouquet stamp set. It helped my winter blues to sit down and color some flowers! It's such a pretty set!

Okay, that's it for me. I hope I've given you some inspiration for using a few of the products from this awesome release!

Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks so much for stopping by!
