Tim Holtz Fall/Halloween Stamps and Simon Says Stamp Coordinating Dies Blog Hop!

 Hi everyone!

Welcome to the last stop on this fun blog hop! We're showcasing some new, coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp that match some of Tim Holtz's fall/Halloween stamp sets!

If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, head over to Simon's blog here.

So far, you've seen lots of amazing talent and inspiration from my fellow crafters, so I hope you're ready for a few simple, fun and cute cards from me.

I had lots of fun creating with the new dies that coordinate with Tim's stamp sets! First up is The Scarecrow set. I ink-blended a background with some of Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Inks, then I water colored the images before using the matching dies to cut them out. Had to add some stamped bats just for fun.🦇🦇🦇 The "Happy Fall" sentiment finishes off the card.

Up next is the Scared Silly set. There are so many fun images to play with in this set! I grabbed an alcohol-inked piece of patterned paper to use as my background for this one. I used Copic Markers to color a few of the images, die cut them with the matching dies and adhered them to the "scene."

My last card showcases the Monster Reunion set. I love this set 'cause it makes me laugh.😂 The monsters are so fun and goofy! I decided to use Frankenstein's monster, water coloring him and adding him to a background that I created using Distress Inks. And yes, more bats because. . .why not?! That sentiment cracks me up too! 🤭

There are a few more sets in this release, as you can see below, and I'm excited to play with those in the near future, especially the leaves sets! They're beautiful!

I hope I've given you a few ideas that you can use to create quick and easy cards for fall and Halloween, with these fun sets! Thank you so much for stopping by!

SIMON GALLERIES:

Did you know Simon has card galleries for each of their releases and their card kits, and even a video gallery? It's true, and you can add YOUR VERY OWN CARDS AND PROJECTS to these galleries! Here's a link to all the Simon Brand Galleries, and here's the link to the new, Every Happiness release. There is so much inspiration to see! I encourage you to check them out and add your own cards/projects as well!

MY CARDS:

First up is this fun stamp and stencil set called Squeeze You. It also comes with a matching die set. I didn't have the dies, so I fussy cut the image after stamping and using the stencils to add some color. I used one of the smaller, cut lemon images to create a subtle background.

For my next card, I used a really cool die called Desert Horizon. I simply inked each die cut piece with different ink colors. Imagine the possibilities!

My third card showcases the beautiful Flower Medley embossing folder. This time I watercolored the images with Zig Markers. The sentiment is from the Cut Word Mix 1 die set.

Last but not least is the adorable stamp set called Woodland Friends. Again, this set comes with matching dies but I didn't have them, so I did some more fussy cutting (which I love to do) - only on a portion of each image. I then paper pieced those portions onto the stamped illustration. You will fall in love with all the images in this set! 😊

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope I've given you a few ideas for playing with some of the products in this awesome release
Enjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget to check out day two of the hop tomorrow, starting on Simon's blog!

Happy crafting!

MY CARDS:

I had lots of fun playing with some of the products in this awesome release! My first card showcases one of my favorite sets from this collection. It's called Cottagecore. There are coordinating dies for this stamp set but I did not have them, so I fussy cut all the images before putting together my scene.

Next up is the fun, Tall Happy Cover die. Love this large die! I used a rainbow of ink colors to create two cards.

For my third card, I used the Presto Pop embossing folder. I thought it would be fun to create a card for the 250th birthday of our country. Just some shading with ink and the addition of some number dies was all it needed.

Last up is a card I created using two new products. The Leafy Greens stencil and the Dewdrop Daisy die set.

That'll do it for me! I hope I've given you a few ideas for using some of the products from this fabulous release! Enjoy the rest of the hop and thank you so much for the visit!

Tim Holtz Stamps and Simon Says Stamp Coordinating Dies Blog Hop!

 Hi friends!

Welcome to my stop on this fun blog hop! We're showcasing some new, coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp that match some of Tim Holtz's stamp sets!

If you'd like to start at the beginning of today's hop, head over to Simon's blog here.

After seeing so many amazing creations from the hop today, I hope you're ready for a few simple cards from me. For the first one, I played with the Floral Elements set. I wanted a soft look, so I watercolored the images using a couple of Simon's Pawsitively Saturated Ink colors. And do you see that sentiment? It's from another new set of coordinating dies that match all of Tim's Tiny Text stamp sets!

For my second card, I used the Moth Study set. This time, I watercolored the images with lots of Distress Oxide Inks. I used another sentiment from the Tiny Text stamp set, along with one of the coordinating dies for the set.

For my third card, I wanted to use the Tiny Text stamp and die set, all by itself, to create a card for someone who might need some encouragement. I simply white embossed the sentiments, placing them where I wanted them on the cardstock, cut them out using the coordinating die set and added some dimension by popping up the panel. A few embossed hearts finish the card.

Okay, that's it. I'm your last stop on the hop. I hope you've enjoyed it, with all the amazing inspiration from my fellow crafters! It's such a fun release!

Simon also has an online gallery showcasing all the wonderful creations from this release! You can check it out here.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Here's a link to all the Simon Brand Galleries, and here's the link to the new, Always There GalleryThere is so much inspiration to see! I encourage you to check them out and add your own cards/projects as well!

MY CARDS:

I really enjoyed playing with some of the products from this fun release! My first card showcases the Petite Petal Background stamp. I just did some simple ink blending and added a bit of twine with a sentiment from the Keep Palm stamp set.

Next up is a totally fun die set called Fiesta Circles. I used some bright ink colors before die cutting the panel. I then die cut another card panel in white and yes, I actually took the time to inlay every single one of the little teardrop shapes and dots. I love how it turned out!

For my third card, I used the Sunblush Flowers die set. A clean and simple card with added splatter and another sentiment from the Keep Palm stamp set.

Here's a card using the Crystal Stars embossing folder and a sentiment from the beautiful stamp set called Blessed. I embossed it on dark gray cardstock and used Simon's white pigment ink to highlight some of the stars. It's difficult to tell from the photo but I added some sparkle to those stars too.

Okay, last one. I did some water coloring with Zig markers on this beautiful image from the Keep Palm stamp set.

That's it from me. I hope I've given you a bit of inspiration for using a few of the products from this fabulous releaseEnjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget to stop by Simon's blog tomorrow for day two and a ton more inspiration!

SSS In My Heart Release Blog Hop Day 2!

Hi friends! Welcome to my stop on the Simon Says Stamp, In My Heart release blog hop!

FREE GIFT:

As you can see from the banner above, Simon is giving away their not yet released, Beautiful Day 3x4 stamp set with any purchase of products from their In My Heart release! This offer will expire on 3/22 at 11:59 pm EDT.

GIVEAWAY:

Simon is giving away a $25 gift certificate at every stop along the hop, from the comment sections! Be sure to leave a comment below for a chance to win. Simon will announce the winners on their blog on Wednesday March 25th.

SIMON GALLERIES:

Did you know Simon has card galleries for each of their releases and their card kits, and even a video gallery? It's true, and you can add YOUR VERY OWN CARDS AND PROJECTS to these galleries! Here's a link to all the Simon Brand Galleries, and here's the link to the new, In My Heart GalleryThere is so much inspiration to see! I encourage you to check them out and add your own cards/projects as well!

MY CARDS:

I had so much fun playing with some of the products from this awesome release! First up is the Wild Rose stamp set. I water colored the images with Zig Markers. I usually don't use such a bright, bold pink but I like how it turned out.

My next two cards showcase the Everlasting Flowers embossing folder. I got my Alcohol Inks out for this one. It's been awhile but I always love playing with them!

My second card using the same embossing folder didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to but this is such a cool technique, I wanted to share it. Kassi Hulet shared this technique on her YouTube channel here. You make a blotter with toilet paper, believe it or not. You spritz small sheets of toilet paper with a bit of water, layer them together, place them inside the embossing folder and run it through your machine. Then, after letting it dry and inking up a watercolor panel, you lay the blotter on top of the panel and gently push it down for a bit. When you lift it up, it will have removed some of the ink and creates the image of the embossing folder. If you've never tried it, you should! It's a fun way to stretch your supplies!

Next up is a die set called Floral Birdscape and it's a beauty! I shaded all the pieces with some soft, pretty inks and used the inlay die cut technique with the flowers and leaves. Then I popped up the dove with foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension.

Okay, one more. Here is the Bows For Days stamps, dies and stencil bundle. I used the stencil in the background before adhering the stamped and die cut bows to the card. I also white embossed the new Best Mom Background stamp over the stenciled panel.

That's it for me! I'm so glad you stopped by today - thank you! I hope I've given you a few ideas for using some of the products from this fantastic release! You've got just one more stop to go on the hop and that's Debbie. She's so talented! I know you'll love whatever she created!
