Summer Card Camp 2 - Day 1

Hi there!

It feels so good to be creating cards again! My nasty wasp sting is just about healed and I am feeling so much better! I want to thank all of you for the sweet comments and get well wishes! :)

I've got a card to share today. It's my homework from Summer Card Camp 2. We were given three sketches and a color combo to use. I chose the first sketch and used all the colors.

I turned the sketch on its side and used Jennifer's technique with the die-cut sentiment - cutting it six times to give it a bit more dimension. The large banner is what opens to view the inside, which I stamped with the same sentiment as the one I used to create the background.

And here's a close-up of the die-cut sentiment and sparkly hearts. I used a Wink of Stella Brush.

I loved day #1 of class and am looking forward to tomorrow's lesson. Just wish I had the week off from work to play more!

Thanks for your visit! :)

Depending on Where You Get Stung . . . .

. . . . a bee sting can take forever to heal!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to let you know what's going on with me. A little over a week ago, I sat on a bee. Yup, sat on one. Because of the location of the sting, it is taking a very long time to heal. It's kinda tough NOT ever sitting down, but that is what it's going to take for the sore to heal. It's a bit better than last week when my whole upper thigh was swollen and red. That is now gone but the sting blistered and now is having a very hard time healing.

Needless to say, I cannot sit for very long periods of time, so if I have not visited your blogs, you know why. I am thankful that I have the next three days off, so hoping I can get a handle on it before Sunday.

I hope you are all doing well, and for my U.S. friends - hope you're enjoying this 4th of July holiday!

Hugs to all!
