Summer Card Camp 2 - Day 2

Hi everyone!

I'm back today with another card from class and oh, my gosh, I love how it turned out! Sorry, I don't usually say that about my cards - I always feel like I'm being boastful and shouldn't do that, but I had so much fun creating it and am so happy with the results!

Shari Carroll was one of the guest designers today - need I say more? I adore her work and just HAD TO try her "drippy paint" technique.

First, here is a photo of the supplies I used.

The stamps are from two different, Stamp Your Story sets from Hero Arts. That stamp at the top of the photo is what I inked up to create my painted "stripes."

I spritzed with lots of water after inking up the stamp each time, then dragged the stamp down the paper and let it drip - sooo fun!

Shari used much lighter colors but I wanted to go bold, and am glad I did. :)

Thanks for the visit!

Summer Card Camp 2 - Day 1

Hi there!

It feels so good to be creating cards again! My nasty wasp sting is just about healed and I am feeling so much better! I want to thank all of you for the sweet comments and get well wishes! :)

I've got a card to share today. It's my homework from Summer Card Camp 2. We were given three sketches and a color combo to use. I chose the first sketch and used all the colors.

I turned the sketch on its side and used Jennifer's technique with the die-cut sentiment - cutting it six times to give it a bit more dimension. The large banner is what opens to view the inside, which I stamped with the same sentiment as the one I used to create the background.

And here's a close-up of the die-cut sentiment and sparkly hearts. I used a Wink of Stella Brush.

I loved day #1 of class and am looking forward to tomorrow's lesson. Just wish I had the week off from work to play more!

Thanks for your visit! :)
