Greenhouse Crocus

Hi guys!

I've got a couple of cards to share today. Just a quick post using a pretty stamp set from Technique Tuesday.

They have a Greenhouse Society series of stamps that are wonderful and so fun to color! I love coloring flowers so these are right up my ally!

For the two cards today, I used their Crocus set.

I colored the Crocus with Copics, then paired it with a fun, colorful background, using the Gingham Cling stamp from Simon Says Stamp.

For this card, I also used my Copics and added a fun, grassy background, inspired by my amazingly talented friend, Kelly Latevola. If you don't follow her blog, you should! She does awesome things with Copics! And of course I had to add some Wink of Stella to the flowers because everything should have shimmer! :) The sentiment is one of my faves from WPlus9.

We're still waiting for spring to show up here in Minnesota. Oh, we've had some really nice, warmer days but winter is fighting hard with spring and seems to be winning at the moment. Come on spring - I'm rooting for you!!!

Thanks for the visit. I hope you all have a wonderful week and find some time to get crafty! ♥

Still Love Water Coloring!

Hi guys!

Once again, time got away from me and it's been awhile since I shared a blog post - oops! But I've been really enjoying having more time to create, now that I'm retired. It gives me a more relaxed attitude. I think that's what I love the most. Never finding myself rushed to get something done. It's a wonderful feeling!

Anyway, I've been having fun making lots and lots of cards. (I'll just share a few here today.) After Dawn's online card class, I'm continuing to enjoy water coloring, using it in different ways to create my cards.

First up are some watercolor panels, created by Suzy Plantamura.

Aren't they just the cutest?!!! I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers on each panel. They come in a pack of 12, uncolored, printed on watercolor paper. I've used Copics on some other panels from Suzy, so that works too, if you're not into water coloring.

Next up is a card using a gorgeous stamp from WPlus9. It's from Dawn's new line called, Beautiful Bouquets and this one is, Ranunculus.

I white embossed the stamp before using my Koi Watercolors. I love how this turned out!

And here's one more. These, Spring Flowers are from Simon Says Stamp and they are beautiful!

After white embossing the flowers, I used Distress Inks and water to add the color.

Okay, that's it. I'm off to get some purging done in my craft room. I have way too much stuff and not enough room! I know many of you can totally relate! Wish me luck!

Thanks for poppin' in today - it is so appreciated! ♥
