Another Fun 90-Minute Scramble!

Happy Saturday, Friends!

I had a fun afternoon today, playing in the
Hero Arts 90-Minute Scramble! It was hosted this time by the talented Sue McRae, and she gave us a theme of using at least three inchies on our cards - so fun! I happened to have some pink and pool colored paper sitting on my craft desk, so that's what I used for my inchies. I decided to do lots of white embossing too!

I embossed different butterfly images and scripts onto the inchies and also embossed the Large Plaid Pattern in the background. (You can click on the photo for a better view.)

I want to thank Sue for such a fun scramble! She had an amazing turn out with 38 of us playing! There were even a few people who created two cards in that short amount of time!

I thought it was time to add a pretty header to my blog - been without one for awhile now, and I am
SO ready for spring and flowers! If I can't see them outside yet, I can at least enjoy looking at them here on my blog, and I LOVE Gerbera Daisies! Hope ya don't mind all the pink!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

A New Color Challenge at Lily Pad Cards!

Happy Friday!

I love Fridays, don't you?! Can't wait to get home from work later today, knowing that I have Saturday off! Such a great feeling to know I'll have some more crafty time soon! There is also another 90-Minute Scramble, hosted by Sue McRae, so I'm excited for that!

Today I'm sharing my design team card for the new color challenge at Lily Pad Cards. Here are the soft, pretty colors Kathy has chosen for this month. It may be a bit difficult to see here, with my blog background color, but the one on the left is a very light pink and, as you can see, the other two are lovely neutrals.

We are sponsored this month by Purple Onion Design! They have some wonderful stamps, including the ones I've used on my card today. It's a set of four lovely butterflies. Here's what I created, using all four.

I first tried stamping the butterflies with a few different pinks and neutrals, but didn't like the way any of the colors looked, so I decided to white emboss them on neutral paper.

The paper is from a 6x6 pack from BasicGrey called, Basics Kraft and the sentiment is from the, "Say It All" clear set, from Hero Arts - (love the font!)

Wait until you see the rest of the design team's cards! They are so awesome, and will inspire you to join in this challenge, I'm sure! So stop over at the Lily Pad Cards blog, where you can read the details and play along! Can't wait to see what everyone creates using these pretty colors!

Thanks for the visit! Hope you all have a happy weekend with some crafty time! :)
