Hi there!
Quick post today before heading off to work. I've been playing with a pretty leaf stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.
On this first card I clear embossed the leaves, after stamping them in black, onto a piece of Inkssentials Specialty Stamping Paper. Then I colored them with a couple of Distress markers.
To shade the background, I wrapped a baby wipe around my
finger, dabbed it onto the colored leaves, then dabbed it again onto
the background. I like the way it turned out so much softer than the
leaves. *This technique will only work when using paper with a glossy finish.*
For my second card, I colored the leaves much brighter, this time using Copic Markers. I decided to create a tag card like my friend, Martha does. She makes the most gorgeous tag cards! If you haven't visited her blog, you should!
Okay, I'm off to work. Hope you're all having a crafty week! I've got some exciting news coming up in the beginning of November and can't wait to share it with you! Enjoy your day! :)
Wow! It's been quite awhile since my last post. It's nice to be sharing a card with you. I had totally lost my mojo - AGAIN! I swear it happens to me more than anyone else - not sure why that is, but it always feels good to create again!
I wanted to make a card for the CASology challenge. This week, the cue word is "leaf." I love the Classic Holly stamp from Hero Arts, so thought I'd get it out to play.
I know it could be even more clean and simple, and I'm continually working on that. Really, all I did was stamp, color, cut and adhere, so for me, it's fairly CAS. :)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)
