Not only is it the weekend, it's also my first day of nine days off from work and I am one, happy camper!
I've got a card to share with you today, from day 4 of the Mask-erade class, using freezer paper as a mask.
This stuff works really well if you want to use a watercolor technique because it seals onto your project better than regular masking paper.
Here's my card.
It is so fun to peal off the mask to reveal all that white! I used the Kite Shaker die from Simon Says Stamp, as well as their You're Amazing die.
I just inked up the sentiment die with the same colors I used for my water coloring. These bright colors make me happy!
I've had such a fun week, getting inky and creative with this class! And I want to thank those of you who have stopped by and left such sweet comments! It makes me realize how much I miss blogging when I don't have the time!

I'm back with another card from online card classes, Mask-erade.
Day three was all about masking fluids. I have never tried using any of them before and didn't have any on hand. So, while I was at work today, I picked up some Rubber Cement to use instead. It worked great and is cheaper too - yay!
Shari Carroll shared a technique that I wanted to try. Her card was amazing, as always! Here's my take:
After stamping the Butterflies from Tim Holtz onto watercolor paper, I masked them off using the rubber cement. Then I stamped the Hero Arts background cling, Dotted Grid and added Distress Inks mixed with water through a Tim Hotz stencil. The layer of rubber cement protects the butterflies from all that ink. I just rubbed it right off after the ink was dry. The sentiment is from this set by Simon Says Stamp.
