Watercolor Blog Hop

Hi there!

I'm joining in and sharing a card for the Pretty Pink Posh, Watercolor blog hop.

http://prettypinkposh.com/2015/06/watercolor-blog-hop.html

Who doesn't love water coloring? It is so on trend right now but I have to be honest. I still struggle with it but love practicing! I have to continue to remind myself to NOT be perfect and just LET GO!

For my card, I pulled out an older Hero Arts flower, which is in the set called, Making the World a Better Place. I used the, Kuretake Zig, Clean Color Real Brush Makers to add my water coloring. They are so fun to play with! My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's set called, Friendship Messages.

Hey, look at that! I actually "let go" a little more on this one! Lol! You can probably tell though, that I started with the flower on the right because it's not as imperfect as the others. That's okay - every flower is different, right?

Are you hopping along too? It's open to everyone who wants to play and you even have until Monday, June 8th to link up your projects. There are lots of sponsors and prizes too! Just head over to the Pretty Pink Posh blog for all the details!

I've been REALLY enjoying my week off from work! Lots of gardening, crafting and cleaning. Well, not THAT much cleaning - ha! If you'd like to see some pics of the peonies from my garden, head over to my Instagram feed, scroll down and you'll see them there. I am amazed at how huge they are this year!

Thanks for the visit! ♥

Day 4 Mask-erade

Happy Saturday!

Not only is it the weekend, it's also my first day of nine days off from work and I am one, happy camper!

I've got a card to share with you today, from day 4 of the Mask-erade class, using freezer paper as a mask.

This stuff works really well if you want to use a watercolor technique because it seals onto your project better than regular masking paper.

Here's my card.

It is so fun to peal off the mask to reveal all that white! I used the Kite Shaker die from Simon Says Stamp, as well as their You're Amazing die. I just inked up the sentiment die with the same colors I used for my water coloring. These bright colors make me happy!

I've had such a fun week, getting inky and creative with this class! And I want to thank those of you who have stopped by and left such sweet comments! It makes me realize how much I miss blogging when I don't have the time!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Barb ♥
