Embossed Butterflies

Well, it's another gloomy, cold day here. I'm getting to the point where I am in desperate need of some sunshine and warm temps! But I try to always look on the bright side of things, so in this case, after all this rain, everything will be so green and beautiful! I do hear by the weekend, it'll be close to 70 degrees and sunnier! Can't wait! :)

Today's card is a bit disappointing, but I thought I'd post it anyway, because we learn from cards like this. I know most of us have had cards we didn't like, so it's a good learning experience!

After white embossing the butterflies from the Hero Arts Watercolor Petals set, I used distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage and Wild Honey. Then spritzed it with a mixture of perfect pearls and water. The shimmer is MUCH better in real life.

Remember to smile today! It makes you, and everyone around you, happier! :)

Glad that you posted this, Barb! I thought this turns out beautifully! WE are our own worst critic, aren't we? I really like the colors in the background and the butterflies are very subtle and provide such great effect! Thank you for the inspiration!

This truly is NOT a card to be disappointed in, Barb. But, good for you for posting it, in spite of how you felt about it. We, too, have had some miserable, cold weather, but are looking forward to mid 60's this weekend!!!! Can't wait.
