Congrats with Pastels

I made this card for a girl in our neighborhood who is graduating this year from high school. She loves flowers and pastel colors. I white embossed the Long Stem Flowers onto white cardstock and used the resist technique with Tumbled Glass, Mustard Seed and Spun Sugar Distress Inks. I love the pretty green result you get from blending the Tumbled Glass with the Mustard Seed! I also added a bit more color to some of the poppies with Copics.

The sun is suppose to make an appearance today! I can't wait to see the brilliant blue sky after 10 days of clouds and rain! Everything is going to be even greener than before! My irises are getting so big this year! I'm looking forward to their blooms! And my peonies are just huge! They are about 4 feet high already, with quite large buds! I'll be sure to take pictures! I will be planting the gardens (both flowers and vegetables) in about 2 weeks. Frost is still a possibility this time of year in Minnesota, so I like to wait a bit longer.

Enjoy your day! Make it a good one, with some fun and time for yourself! :)

Barb.... love your card, bet the grad will too. Jealous of your peonies.... I had some... but they take a few years after planting to bloom and in the makeover of my garden - they got the heave ho!!! Think I might sneak some back in!!! ADORE them and sunflowers too. Have a great day.
