First "Scene" card. . . . . Let's Chill!

Hello and happy Friday!

I think this is my first ever card with an actual scene. I have so much to learn about creating cards like this but it was so fun to try, and you can hardly go wrong with this adorable new stamp set from Hero Arts!

I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create the sky. The sun was made by using just a scallop punch and hand drawing the face. The waves and sand were hand cut. I took a few more pictures to try and show where I added the Glossy Accents and pop dots for dimension. Also used a white gel pen for fun! (Wasn't working very well though.)

I've had a couple of crazy, busy days and have not been able to comment on Flickr or blogs as much as I'd like. I'm hoping to catch up with all of that tonight!

It's a very gloomy, dark day here. We're suppose to maybe get some strong storms later, with large hail and damaging winds! Sure hope it doesn't happen!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I so appreciate it! Happy weekend to everyone! :)

Love it Barb! The bright colors and the touches of white are just perfect. I'm really impressed with your little scene and I sure hope you will do more! This is certainly the antidote to June gloom.
Hoping you missed the nasty weather...
bless you,
