Quick Post with a Card

I seem to completely run out of time in the mornings lately....hate when that happens. I made another fairly simple card last night, went to take a picture and the battery in the camera ran out of juice...hate when that happens too. Anyway, I embossed the Hero Arts Hydrangea stamp in white, on white card stock. Then used Wild Honey distress ink, with the resist technique, for the top of the flower. The same technique was used for the stem and leaves but to get the green color, I used a mix of Wild Honey and Tumbled Glass. Love the pretty green these two colors make. I also put some of both inks down on my craft sheet, picked up the colors with a small paint brush and added some more ink to give a bit of shading. I cut out the image and attached it with pop dots, onto the fun, brown polka dot paper. (looks black in the photo.)

I work today and tomorrow but have taken the weekend off to spend more time with my mom. I hope you all enjoy your day!

Gorgeous card Barb! I love your colouring and shading on the flower itself and that is such a beautiful green you came up with using those two inks (must remember that combination when I get those inks!). Enjoy your weekend with your mom.
