A Heartfelt Thank You

Good morning.

I wanted to let all of you know how very much I appreciate your comments, well wishes, condolences, hugs and love. I wish I could put into words what it has meant to me. Here, in the blogging world and on Flickr, there is such an amazing group of ladies. You've all touched my heart and made it easier for me to get through this difficult time in my life. I am so grateful for this crafting hobby of ours, for so many different reasons. I know you all understand what I mean. It is such a gift!

I've made a card to show you all how I feel about your thoughtfulness. I so appreciate each and every one of you!

When I saw Vicky's card and the way she had cut the edge of the card with her flower shape, I knew I wanted to try the same thing with the Hero Arts Silhouette Ivy stamp. I like the way it turned out and hope you all like it too!

As for how I'm doing....I'm okay. My mom's funeral was just beautiful. Exactly what she would've wanted. All 13 grandchildren took part in the mass in one way or another. She would've LOVED that! The closeness we all share is such a blessing! Out of 25 of us, there is only one (grandson) who lives far away from Minnesota. That in itself is so rare these days. We will be here for each other in the weeks and months to come. It's so wonderful to have that support.

I start back to work later this morning and am actually looking forward to it. My co-workers are people that I love to be with everyday. They make me laugh and are just a joy in my life.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and once again, thank you all for sending me your thoughts, prayers and hugs!

Barb, Your card is gorgeous--thank your for sharing your feelings and this card. I am also happy to see you back again. I was missing you last week and didn't find out that your Mom passed away until yesterday (7/7). I read about her passing away on the Flickr thread yesterday morning. Barb - your card is perfect and it expresses your thoughts perfectly. I am just glad that we were all able to let you know we cared... even if we have never physically meet...you are a friend and friends need support when sad things happen in their lives. Will continue to keep you in our prayers and thoughts. I loved that all your Mum's grandchildren took part in her mass... when my hubby's mother passed away we did the same thing.... all the grandchildren took part someway in her mass. It is so special.
May each day get better...

Oh Barb...I haven't been on flickr for weeks but for brief moments and saw the post, I had to come over here to tell you that my heart goes out to you...I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. It was good to hear that you have so many loved ones around you and that each of you are comforted and supported. Your mother would be so happy to see that - I know mothers have joy unspeakable when all of their children are loving and taking care of one another. My thoughts and prayers will continue.
