Embossed Blues

Hi all!

I just went a little crazy and changed the colors on my blog! I already miss my happy, summery pink colors, but I thought with Autumn coming, it should be changed. I really don't like it yet and will probably be playing with the colors a bit more in the next few days.

It's been awhile since I've blogged anything or made a card. I've just been enjoying looking around at my favorite blogs and in the Flickr pool. Did everyone see the Hero Arts blog today? I hope you didn't miss it because there are some AMAZING cards and projects that were awarded for the first half of the challenge this month! So much talent all in one place! Love it!

I hope the end of your week is going smoothly! I'm still off work through Sunday, so I'm a relaxed girl right now. Maybe a bit too relaxed. Not much getting done around here. Being quite lazy actually. But I justify it by telling myself that it's needed. I deserve to be lazy once in awhile, right? Come Monday, I'll be back in the swing of things at work and as busy as ever. One good thing is that Scrapfest is just around the corner, less than a month away now! I am getting so excited for that!

Anyway, enough about me, here is a card I made this morning.

I used a variety of Hero Arts stamps and a few different blue shades of ink. I clear embossed the flowers then stamped the text with a soft gray shade. Distressed and inked the edges of the white panel, added some Hero Hues gems and I thought it would be a fun change of pace to place the sentiment sideways this time.

One more thing. Anita is having 5 little giveaways on her blog! Pop in and say hello and check it out here. You'll love her blog! She is so creative!

Thanks for poppin' in to see me! I love all your visits and comments! They are very much appreciated! Have a fabulous Thursday!

Hi, Barb! Gorgeous card! I love the Watercolor Petals set. I only recently just got it myself but I've been having fun playing with it! I love the three shades of blue that you used. And the soft distressing. Love the word Friend sideways! Just super! :-)

Another stunning card, Barb! Love the way you embossed the flowers over the script background. I'm liking the seasonal touch on the blog, too. I never thought to season-coordinate my blog. Great idea.

Hi Barb! I love this card! Love all the blues and the clear embossing! So pretty! I like youe new blog colors too. It's hard for fall to come. I am dreading it due to my dd going to kindergarten. And another reason, I don't want to stop playing with my butterflies and summer stamps! :> I am beyond excited for Scrapfest too!
