Silver Anniversary

So, I loved the technique Nancy showed us on the Hero Arts blog today and wanted to give it a try. I was asked by a friend to make a card for a married couple, celebrating their silver anniversary. I thought it would be fun to use Nancy's technique with black and gray. I started out coloring the hydrangea and butterfly, from French Writing with Butterfly, with gray and black water color pencils. I then used a lighter gray Copic marker and the colorless blender to blend the colors. I think I could still use some practice, especially with blending, but I do like the way it turned out. It's a fun technique and I plan on giving it another try using some different colors.

I stamped the French Writing with Butterfly twice and cut out just the butterfly to layer it on the stamped image. The hydrangea is also cut out and placed on the card using dimensional adhesives. The sentiment is stamped inside the card.

Hope you are all having a good start to the week!

Thanks for stopping by today!
