Pretty Paper Plus Hero Arts

Hi there!

Geez, I feel like I haven't done this in so long. Nice to be posting here again! I have a card to show you today. It took awhile to put it together but I like the way it turned out. It's not my usual style either. Maybe that's why it took so long! :) I'll be sending this to a friend who is going through a tough time right now.

I started with some of the beautiful paper from a Webster's Pages pack. I stamped the Fabulous Flourish on a couple of edges with Hero Hues Latte chalk ink, then added a scalloped edge with some patterned paper from Basic Grey. I found the Hero Arts Stencil Flower in my scrap basket all embossed and colored. I just stamped La Lettre here and there on the flower with the same chalk ink.The pretty crocheted flower added to the center was a gift from a Flickr friend. I just wish I could remember who sent it to me! I added a dragonfly from the Antique Engravings set and the sentiment is from the new With Sympathy set. A few brown pearls finish off the card.

It's been very cold here with even colder temps on the way, but I've decided that I would much rather have colder temps than any more snow! We're having lots of trouble trying to throw the snow up over the 7 foot mounds on the sides of the driveway! And to think we're only a third of the way through winter! Yikes! Hope you're warm, wherever you are! Thanks for stopping by! :)
