Kissing

Another quick post tonight.

There's a new challenge over on the Hero Arts blog that includes the kissing technique. I must admit, I've never used this technique and was excited to give it a try. After several attempts with a variety of stamps, I finally ended up with a card I like.

I inked up the Branch Background cling stamp with Memories Green Dye Ink, then used Memento Tuxedo Black on the Friend Definition. I "kissed" the two stamps together, then stamped the Branch Background onto white cardstock. The beautiful butterfly is one of several that my friend Sue from New Zealand sent to me. Thank you, Sue! Love them all! I added three white pearls to the body. The Hero Arts sentiment is a little wood stamp from 2004 called, Smile Moments.

I am planning on taking some photos of my little floral department just before Valentine's Day. It looks quite red, pink and festive! I want to wait until we get all the roses in to show you what it looks like. . .only wish I could share the wonderful aroma too! Stay tuned. . .

Thanks for coming by! Hope the rest of your week is wonderful! :)

So lovely, Barb. I have that branch cling, too. I shall try the 'kissing'. Btw, your circle card with the Ivy Stamp on it is gorgeous. I was about to buy that Ivy Stamp and decided not. Then when I looked your work again, I really want that one as well... LOL..

Lovely kissing technique, Barb! I really like the green and white colors, so fresh and clean! Love that pretty butterfly too, it flew all the way from NZ and landed in the perfect spot on your lovely card!
Can't wait to see the pics of your displays and flowers...

Turned out really great Barb. I've not tried this either so maybe over the next month I will. Love your butterfly. Perfect colours for your card. Sue makes lovely backgrounds and cuts out lovely dies with them

Well I am so impressed, this BG is great and my little butterfly looks happy nestled amongst the leaves. I have tried the kissing technique Barb and I was hopeless at it, you on the other hand have surely mastered it.
