Three More Days!

Hi there!

I'm getting very excited for my upcoming time off from work! I have three more days left before getting nine days off! Yay! I love vacations! As usual, I won't be going anywhere, just staying home. Love that kind of vacation! I plan on relaxing, cleaning a bit, relaxing some more and hopefully making lots of cards! I haven't felt very creative lately and I'm really glad Sue showed a video here of using Alcohol Inks on Vellum because it got my juices flowing. Thank you, Sue!

First I made this card with yellows, oranges and reds.

I wanted to try it again with different colors and something fun happened! After inking the vellum with some blues and greens and embossing the butterfly in white, I decided I wanted a softer look, so I pounced some of the silver mixative over the embossing and it changed the white to sort of blend in with the blue-green. It actually made it more of an aqua shade. I wish I would have taken a photo of it before adding the mixative because the colors really were very different. But I like the way it turned out.

Well, it's very late, as usual, (I am quite the night owl) so I'd better head to bed. Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
