Not Feelin' It

Happy Saturday!

The last few days have been a struggle for me, but that's okay. I've learned that my mojo comes in waves. Sometimes I feel it so much, I end up cranking out card after card. Then, without warning, it takes a vacation. I've also learned to make simple cards while waiting for it to return. Ones that don't take too long or take too much brain power.

I've got two of those cards to show you today. They both have layered stamped images because that's one of the monthly themes this month on the Hero Arts blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate it!

Have a wonderful, crafty weekend! :)

Barb, I have the same problem with my creativity, sometimes I can't shut it off, but then there are times I can't turn it on! LOL! Love your cards, the blues and green on the first card are so pretty!

Oooo such pretty cards! I love the butterflies and how you layered them! And the flowers one too! I find that for me what gets rid of it is new stamps and the mojo comes back! :>

Even when the inspiration takes a vacation, your cards are lovely. It happens to us all Barb, we should not feel guilty about not making a card every couple of days, the most important part of creating is enjoyment and not trying to keep up with some of our prolific card makers who seem to churn out incredible cards all the time, it can be overwhelming and intimidating at the same time. It is normal to have days where the creative juices are not flowing accept that and you will be up and running again in no time, just have fun with your craft Barb, what you are producing is wonderful, your friends/followers will always be here even if there is only a card once a week.
Smiles:)

Hi Barb! I love both your cards, the flowers inteh first are really beautiful! And I adore the colourful butterflies in the second! Mojo comes and goes, you have the right attitude, just let it do it's thing! I also tend to move onto simpler things, like a plain CAS sketch, when this happens to me, and it does, often!

Your mojo is still there, Barb - these cards are so pretty! I am amazed at all the cards everyone puts out - I just don't have the time to spend on cardmaking and blog hopping and Flickr postings that I would like. So, some days I'm able to do it all and other days I am completely MIA! But, we all have to juggle a lot of things and prioritize each day as it comes, I guess. I love all of the cards you make and appreciate your sweet comments and that you are always so helpful to everyone!

Barb, you are WAYtoo tough on yourself. Both of these cards are beautiful...it doesn't look like your mojo left...it looks like it got a promotion!

Hope you are feeling better today, Barb! I do have that no mojo feeling also at times and I stopped making cards completely for a couple of days! Both your cards are beautiful and love the butterflies! Take care, my friend!

Especially love the layered butterflies, Barb! Don't worry about the mojo -nothing wrong with what you're doing anyway. You're too hard on yourself!

Love the pop of colors on both of your cards Barb! You always take everything in stride, and such a positive thinker! That's what I love about you, it's a great idea to take it easy and go with simpler designs while you're waiting for your mojo to come back!

You are right!! Mojo takes vacations some times - I guess he (or is it she? :-))) deserves it. Your cards are beautifull.

Umm... yeah, if your mojo is on vacation, it apparently doesn't show one bit! LoL... These cards are awesome. I especially love the second one with the butterflies and the fabulous colors and dimension. SO pretty, Barb!

Oh Barb, sorry to hear that you're not feelin' it -- but I couldn't tell from looking at these cards! The butterfly one is just awesome. And the blues are just divine on the flower one.

And, when I get that way I usually clean my desk (which always needs cleaning, ha ha ha) -- there's something about seeing scraps and stamps and other stuff together that gets my juices flowing. :)

Hugs to you! :)

Hi Barb, these two cards are gorgeous--you did an outstanding job. I love all the pretty colored butterflies on your second card and the flowers on the first card are pretty, also. These two cards remind me that summer summer will be here very soon. My mojo has also slipped away and I am trying to get it back. You take care. Hugs to you.

Wow, Barb...if this is what you make when your mojo has taken a day off, well, you can do without it! I love both cards, but that pink butterfly card GRABBED my attention right away. Lovely!

Such pretty cards Barb but I partial to butterflies ;-) So lovely with all the different colors you used.
Thanks for stopping by my blog too. I can always count on a lovely comment from you. All's well here. I just haven't been stamping much but hope to pick up the speed soon ;-)
