Another Summer Camp Card

Here's another card with this week's card camp colors.

I started out with long, thin strips of white cardstock, colored them with different blue and green inks and adhered them to the card base in a random fashion. I white embossed the Thanks Dictionary Greeting, then used emboss resist with Broken China and Tumbled glass distress Inks. The butterfly was also white embossed and colored in, using two green Versa Color inks mixed with water.

I'm having fun with the colors this week and I'm hoping to make a couple more cards before camp is all wrapped up.

I want you all to know that I really appreciate your comments and support! It keeps me going even when I know make some pretty wonky cards. Thank you very much for visiting today! :)

So clever to use the strips to incorporate the colors, Barb! I would never describe your cards as wonky!! I love the butterfly - just got that set. My life is so busy right now that I haven't been able to keep up with the classes - am storing all the info for future use!!

I've been following your blog for sometime and get such inspiration from your cards! The card camp pushed me just enough to finally upload my first card anywhere, and you were kind enough to comment on it! Thank you for doing so! Being a lurker to all of the talent available on the net can be a tad bit intimidating to say the least! Have a good day! vennct/aunt donna

I like how you used the colored strips to create the bg! What we all love about you Barb is your fearlessness as a cardmaker - don't ever say your work is wonky! P.S. I've spent the morning researching hotels, the Mall of America, etc. - I'm getting so excited about Scrapfest and about finally getting to meet my hostess sista and other Hero Arts flickr buddies :):):)
