Week #3, Summer Card Camp

I have really been struggling with the colors for this week's Card Camp. I've made three cards so far, two of which I won't be posting. . . .yuk! This one turned out okay, I guess. I think I'm just better at using bright colors.

I did enjoy putting this together and used some fun elements. The red ribbon, chocolate colored twine and white flower are all from Hero Arts. I also used the Hero Arts, Magical Background on the card base, stamped in Hero Hues, Latte Chalk Ink. I embossed the oval die cut with my Cuttlebug, then gently added some brown ink just to the dots. The shiny, red letters are Thickers.

I'm hoping to get another card made for camp, using Jennifer's "Finger-inking" technique. . .looks like lots of fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

I love your card, Barb! And, I want to try Jennifer's finger painting, too, but my cardmaking time is so limited these days! Maybe I will find some free time soon.

Interesting colours.
The warm vivid red and the earthy brown, one would not think to put these two together, but it works! It is a great card Barb.

I hear ya, Barb - I rely on great colors! I have been thinking about this challenge all week. I do hope that I have time to give it a shot. But, this is so adorable! This great design show you learned about balance - it is perfect! Love those red letters, too.

Hi Barb, this card turned out wonderful--I love how you inked the dot embossed oval. I also had a hard time with this weeks colors for card camp. Haven't been on the internet much this week because of internet problems; got the problem fixed and hopefully the problem will stay gone. Hugs to you and have a wonderful weekend.
