First of all, if you missed my post the other day about Scrapfest, there are some fun pics you might want to see, so just click here.
I decided to do two more posts about our fun weekend because I have too many photos to put all in one. So for today, I'll be sharing some of the cards we made in the Hero Arts classes and a few other photos as well.
Jennifer and Shari taught both classes together. They are fast-paced, fun and inspiring!
Here's Anita and Trinh, waiting for class to start.
Of course I have to share a few photos of our teachers!
Their first class was called Thinking Inking and we made three awesome cards!
This first one is really cool! You can't tell in this picture, but a portion of the flower is adhered to the back of the sentiment strip.
Here it is, starting to open. . . .
. . .and here's what the inside looks like. Isn't that fun?!
Another card using a fun technique where you use the back side of the stamp to create a pretty effect behind some of the stamped snowflakes.
Then we got to use distress stains!
After applying the stains to the embossed background, we spritzed it heavily with perfect pearl spray. So pretty in real life! This was my favorite card of the class. I was convinced I did not need to buy any of these distress stains but after playing with them, I changed my mind and heading up to Archiver's to pick some up. Love them!
I'll be back tomorrow with the cards from our second class and some fun photos of our dinner together, so please stop by again.
Thanks for visiting! :)
