After All That Blue. . . . .

. . . . .I just had to create a card using my favorite color combo. I suppose it was to remind myself that these colors are so pretty together! I flipped one of the sketches from the Hero Arts October challenge.

The Hero Arts ornament was embossed in white, then colored, using distress inks. The green panel was cut from a 6x6 piece of the Memoir Collection from Studio Calico. The snowflakes are also from Hero Arts and are stamped in two different pink inks, and clear embossed.

We've been having very summer-like weather here this week and I am sooo enjoying it! The little critters are all busy getting ready for winter and boy, oh, boy has my cat, Murphy ever been loving it too! I thought I'd share a few of photos. Remember now, he is strictly an indoor cat.

Here he is, relaxing by the ground level, window.

"Oh! I see something! What's that?!"

"I need to creep up a little closer. . ."

Here's what my sweet kitty was staring at!
Aren't they cute? Getting their fill of acorns.

After they left, Murphy sat like this for a long while, patiently waiting for their return.
Yes, he is tail-less. He is a "Manx" and they breed them that way. And I know, I know, he is quite the large cat! He weighs 18 pounds, but the Vet says he's very healthy. He really doesn't even eat that much, he's just a big guy and such a joy!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

Hello, dear pal! Love the new fall header - such rich colors! And this card is a true gem - great colors that work for the holidays. Great take on the sketch, too. What are you going do the all next month now that your Christmas cards are getting finished?! Don't you feed that kitty? Looks like he wants a squirrel snack. Thanks!

I loved seeing the new pictures of Murphy. He looks so sweet. I bet he likes to cuddle up on your lap.
How pretty the snowflakes look in the two shades of pink.
We used the ornament in a card class. I love how you embossed in white and then used the red distress inks to color.

My sister had a cat that was bred with a manx cat and end up with half a tail. Best cat that ever was! Your card is beautiful. A hint of holiday colors but just enough to still be christmas.

I love your take on the sketch, Barb! And I think pink and green can be used all year long, wouldn't it be fun to have pink snowflakes in real life? Love your photos, too precious!

Hi Barb, Your card is beautiful00love the two colors of pink that you used. Your take on the sketch is perfect and the flower is gorgeous. I enjoyed reading about your cat murphy. He brings back wonderful memories of the cats that I use to have. I also had a white cat that weighed 20 pounds. He had black between his ears and a black tail. He was a very loveable cat and every chance he had he would crawl up onto my lap and purr with contentment. thank you so much for sharing your cat with everyone. Hope that you are having a wonderful Sunday. Hugs to you.
