In a Funk

I'm in one of those funks, where I make a card and hate it. Then I try to make another one and hate it. It happens to me every once in awhile. I know it'll pass, just hope it passes soon! It's a rotten feeling when you want so bad to create, but everything you try just doesn't work.

One good thing though, it's the perfect time to get some things done around the house. One of those things is to clean and rearrange my craft space. (It needs it sooo bad!) So, I'll be taking a couple of days away from the computer, away from blogland and yes, even away from Flickr - yikes! Did I just type that?! Seriously, I don't think any of you realize how difficult that's going to be for me. I truly love commenting on blogs and cards in Flickr! (I know it will only last a couple of days.)

Starting on Saturday, I will have 10 days off from work too, so I'm really looking forward to that, and hoping the mojo has returned by then - we'll see. . . .

Happy creating everyone, and thanks for poppin' in! :)

It happens to all of us Barb, so don't worry too much! And I always find a rearranged craft space to be the perfect motivator! But don't be gone too long now!!!

Hello Barb
It's the changing of the seasons, my Grannie always said when one was feeling gloomy, but then she said many things; like flying into Space affected the weather patterns!!!!!. She was very superstitious.
So once your cold weather starts happening for you Barb,(I know you don't want to think about this) but
all that inspiration will come flooding back. The reason we demur, psychologically, is that self-control does not give us enough sustained motivation to achieve what we want to do.
At about this very moment you are thinking 'what an earth is this girl talking about!' Apologies, I tend to drivel in the mornings, Rob says it is because I have not spoken for eight hours (asleep) that I get excited when I wake up!
I think you will have better luck returning to card making by sorting out your craft room Barb than by reading this bit of nonsense.
Have a most enjoyable day and hoping this despondency lifts soon.
Smiles:)

Know how it is Barb... but tidying up will be a tonic, you'll be surprised with what you find in your craft space.... stuff you've forgotten you had and the Mojo will flow again.

WE are going to miss you - you mean so much to so many of us, girlfriend! But, sometimes you just need to take a deep breath and shift some priorities around for awhile. When you are done with your craft space, I'd love to see a pic so I can better imagine you in your "glory". Take care and get it together - we'll all be right here. Love ya!

Hi Barb, I know what you mean when creating a card and not liking it once I am finished; that happens to me all the time. I am sad that that is happening to you but, I am sure that your mojo will return. I hope you have a wonderful 10 days off from work. I will miss you and looking forward to your return. Hugs to you

BIG Hugs to you!

Good luck with your craft space clean-up, Barb. I have found my most crafty moments come during this time. I start putting stuff away and the next thing you know, I'm working away on a project! With 10 days off you'll have plenty of time to re-organize and get cooking again. Take care!

Hi Barb! Sometimes it's good to step away from the computer and blogging and recharge and refresh! You are the most gracious commenter and I don't know how you do it! I don't blame you for the "burnout".

I'm looking forward to your next post where I caught a glimpse of your awesome craft space and organization!
