Another Virginia's View!

Happy Friday!

It's a happier Friday than normal because at 4:00pm today, I will officially be on a 9-day break from work! Yay! :)

It's also time for Virginia's View #3, at the Lily Pad Cards blog! For this challenge, we're sponsored by Stamps of Life. They sent me the cutest stamp set called, Flowers 2 Share. It's so full of sweet images and sentiments!
I took a photo of it so you can see what it looks like. Such a fun set!

Are ya ready for bright, cute and fun? I hope so! Here's the inspiration photo from Virginia:

Don't ya just love all the colors? I was not only inspired by the bright colors, but also by all the wonderful rows of buttons!

I started to play with this set and could not stop! I made 4 or 5 cards, but won't bore you with all of them. Here's just a couple.

I don't know why, but for some reason Virginia's photo made me think of bright, colorful stripes. So, I not only added different stripes with colored cardstock, I found myself adding stripes to the vase too, which is paper pieced and adhered over the stems of the stamped flowers and leaves. The floral images look a bit like buttons too, don't they?

For my second card, I wanted to mimic the rows of buttons, so I used the smaller floral image, stamped it several times to create three rows, then used lots and lots of different colors. So fun!

Okay, okay, I just have to share one more card. This one was done strictly for fun. (and because I have way too many buttons!)

Hee, hee! I know it would take a bit more money to mail this one, but I giggled through the entire gluing process, (it's the little things that make me happy) and I will hand deliver this to a friend at work. I know she'll get a kick out of it!

So head on over to the Lily Pad Cards blog and join in all the colorful fun! You can read the details of this new challenge and see how the rest of the design team was inspired by Virginia's View!

Thanks for stopping by today! If anyone is interested, there is another Hero Arts scramble tomorrow, (Saturday 3-17) hosted by Donna! Click here to read about it.

I'm excited because it's suppose to be sunny and 77 degrees today and tomorrow - that's unheard of around here in March, and I love it! (Last year at this time we had several feet of snow on the ground - what a switch!)
Have a fabulous weekend and Happy St. Patrick's Day to all who celebrate! :)
