Getting Inky

Hello!

It's a chilly, rainy, Friday night here. Perfect for getting all inky while making a card. Yup - my fingers are now all blue, and I love it!

I've been wanting to create another card for the Hero Arts April Contest.

There are three sketches to choose from:

I chose the one at the top and tweaked it a little bit.

I still just LOVE to use the emboss resist technique! It's so magical when the color is added! I used a mix of Distress Stains and Inks over the white embossed, Dot Flower Pattern. I've had that big, blue flower for the longest time. Paired it with a lovely, small doily and a bright red floral button.

I cut another clear sentiment apart. It's from this set:

See the last sentiment? I cut off the first, tiny line. I wanted a small font, and this was perfect! It can be easily placed right back in line with the rest of the sentiment, to stamp it the original way again.

I hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for your visit! :)

Hello Barb
Your colour palette is a favourite of mine, the cool turquoise paired with the warm Red, and attaching an accent of White makes the card POP!
Your resist is beautifully done, a gorgeous card.
Smiles:)

Great card! Emboss resist is here to stay. I like your flower and button too. Great thing about clear stamps - cut them, bend them, etc...
