Anything But a Card

It's late Thursday night, but I wanted to get this post up before tomorrow. We've got a good friend coming to stay with us for the weekend - can't wait! He's a wonderful friend, was in our wedding and we have such fun when he comes to visit!

So, I decided I wanted to join in the fun at the Simon Says Stamp challenge this week - Anything BUT a Card. I love making bookmarks and have given them to several co-workers for different occasions. For this particular bookmark, I used the beautiful Prim Poppy die-cut from Memory Box. I cut it three different times; once on white, once on the pink polka dot paper and one more time on the green and white gingham paper.

I used the fun technique, that Jennifer McGuire shared on her blog, of piecing the die-cut back together, into the negative space. So fun and it looks really cool too! Here's a close-up.

And of course, I didn't want to waste any of the pieces, so I had to make a coordinating card to go with it, but am only entering the bookmark for the challenge. Here's the card:

And a close-up of how I added the poppies - fun!

Can ya tell I love this die!? Yea, just a little! :)

Thanks so much for coming by - It's always so nice to see your comments! Hope everyone has a fun weekend! :)
