Happy Day!

Hey there!

It's a happy day today for many reasons. It's my first out of nine days off from work, the sun is shining brightly against a gorgeous blue sky, I am heading outside soon to plant the rest of my flowers and I made two cards this morning! Doesn't get much better than that! :)

Once again I've been struggling with finding my mojo, but I really love the new Hero Arts contest and wanted to play along. The sketches they provided this month helped to get my juices flowing, thank goodness!

I created a couple of cards for the sketch portion of the challenge.

I love this fun sketch! I just flipped it on its side and used some bright patterned paper from the Echo Park, "Country Drive," 6x6 pad, which I received as part of my random win over at the Moxie Fab World Blog. The flower, bird and sentiment are all Hero Arts.

Here's my second card using a different sketch.

The Hero Arts flowers were stamped with some bold, StazOn Ink, then cut out using the matching die-cuts from the stamp set. (One of the colors is a dark purple but looks black in the photo.)

That's it for me today. Time to head outside and enjoy this wonderful weather! I love when summer is just beginning!

Have a good weekend and thanks for stopping by! :)

Love those brightly patterned banners, and the balance of the first card. The flower placement in your second card is great. Fun colors too (I can see the purple, it doesn't look black on my screen).
