White on White

Hi there!

I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted - time flies when you're busy! I want to thank all of you who stopped by and left a comment on my Valentine's post! I made it through the week and we sold a TON of flowers and plants! (Actually ran out of roses around 6:00pm.) Now we gear up for Easter with all the pretty pastel colors and a springtime feel - yay! :)

So, I thought it was high time I enter a challenge and decided on the Simon Says Stamp, white on white. Love this beautiful photo inspiration from Joy!

Shari Carroll inspired me, yet again, with her awesome card here. I love her idea of using a die-cut to create what looks like an embossed background!

Here's what I came up with, using the new, Renaissance Heart die from Hero Arts.

Sorry about the photo - one of my lamps went out. I tried several different angles with the one light, and believe it or not, this one was the best of the bunch.

We've got some real nasty weather coming this week. VERY cold temps again and a we're suppose to get lots of snow Thursday and Friday - YUK! I am sooo ready for spring!

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your week! :)

Hello Barb
Oh, I do I love the die-cut you used to create the embossed look, not unexpectedly White imparts such purity and simplicity. The human eye sees White as a brilliant colour, and at the same time it imbues a sense of clarity and cleanliness and symbolises minimalism to the extreme.
This is an most exquisite and gorgeous card.
Smiles:)

Beautiful and elegant design, Barb! I love white on white designs, and yours is gorgeous! Be careful with this storm coming, Barb - it's supposed to come through here tomorrow night with the most snow we've had in two winters.

this is so very elegant Barb. It reminds me of raised frosting on a wedding cake...so lovely and perfect placement of "bling". I am depressed by this snow!!!!!!! Joe and I are to visit Bess in Minn and are doubting that we should go now.
