Beautiful Flower During a Snowstorm

Hi There!

I've been playing with a new stamp from Hero Arts called, Painted Flower. It's such a pretty stamp! I inked it up with their Cornflower, Mid-Tone Shadow Ink and a green marker for the stems and leaves. Love how it stamps to look like you've colored it with shading - so easy!

It's a fitting card for the way I'm feeling tonight - wishing for spring to come! We had quite the snowstorm last night, leaving us with close to a foot of wet, heavy snow. Hope the branches of my pine tree in the back yard don't snap in two!

My hubby used the snow blower to clear the driveway before heading to work this morning, but it continued to snow most of the day. The boys and I knew we'd have to do it again and headed outside later on. Well, the big city snow plow had come by to clear the street, and this is what it left for us at the bottom of our driveway!

Look at those HUGE boulders! I know they are only doing their job, but come on!! And our snow blower will not get through that thick heavy stuff either, so we had to shovel all that by hand! ARG!!!!

After about an hour or so, with very sore muscles, here's what it looked like - whew!

Now you know one of the many reasons why I'm longing for spring! Hope it gets here soon!

Thanks for stopping by today - hope it's sunny and warm where you are! :)

Gorgeous card Barb!!! Love how you used this flower. Look at that snow. I am glad I have to look at it in your photos. We are so glad to have nice weather this week. Hope spring is here soon :)

Just seen the card over on Flickr. It is awesome. Wow that was a lot of snow. I am so pleased I live in a place that does NOT get snow in the winter!!! That looks like a lot of hard work to clear your drive.

Beautiful stamping with your new stamp, Barb!

I am sorry to hear that you still need to go thru all the hassle with the snow - blowing you some spring weather from here!

This flower stamp is so beautiful and your card is even more so! I'm thankful we don't have that much snow, however we have a bit this morning and more coming today.

Two weeks from today is the first day of spring! Yippee!

We got about 6 inches last night...on my way to work in about 30 minutes...fun stuff! I don't envy all the shoveling...

Your card is so soft and beautiful Barb. Love the floral stamp and the gorgeous script.

Fabulous card Barb, love the soft blue of the flower.
Gosh look at that snow, no wonder you are fed up, we have only had one heavy snowfall this year that lasted for about a week. At last I think spring is arriving here.

Oh, Barb, that brings back such memories! It never failed, we would just get the driveway clear and the plow would go by!! My husband would go to all our neighbors' homes and clear the end of the driveway for them ... we had the biggest snow blower!! (Which I bought when the teenaged sons left home!) I love this card and I need that flower stamp!

Love the card! That stamp is on my wishlist. We only had 4 inches and that was enough for me. Take care.

Gosh, all that snow!! And we have flooding here in our part of the South of France - luckily not where we are situated but 45 mins from where we live.
Your card is so gorgeous Barb and so nice that the stamp shades itself!!
Hope that Spring comes quickly to your parts this year around!

Your creations are timeless, beautiful and super elegant!! LOVE this stamped flower in those colors and the vintage feel you added by stamping the script and inking the edges to make it look aged. GORGEOUS work as always!! (:

"Beautiful Flower" is right...and your card is GORGEOUS, Barb! I love that you chose cornflower blue...it's so pretty, and your design is just perfect!

Now, about that snow storm...Oh my, I feel so badly for you that you're still dealing with so much snow! Your photo of the tree is so pretty...looks like a winter wonderland, but the driveway (before you shoveled) is more like a winter nightmare! Thank heaven you had the boys to help you :-)

Hang in there...spring is almost here, and I know 'You' will be one happy girl!!!

GORGEOUS card, Barb!
You may have to make enough of these to cover your windows until the snow melts :)
Sending warm wishes your way

I love this spring beauty, Barb - and such a lovely color of blue, too! That stamp is definitely on my wish list! As for the snow, looks like you received what came through here last week - we had about 12". Fortunately, our snow plow guy was a little kinder, but we still had to shovel the end of the driveway again - no snow blower here!
