Friend

Hi Everyone!

Has it really been almost three weeks since my last blog post!? Time sure flies when you're busy!

I've got a card to share with you tonight. I wanted to use some pretty colors, so I reached for three of my favorite Distress Inks - Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Shaded Lilac.

I first white embossed the Hero Arts Tiny Ink Spots, then shaded the panel with the Distress Inks. I spritzed it with some Perfect Pearl water to blend the colors even more. I added Glossy Accents to the hearts and the die-cut letters are also from Hero Arts.

I'm glad the weekend is almost here, but I sure wish our weather would get better. It feels like every time our snow melts, we get another storm. As I'm typing this, we're in the middle of another one. Here's a couple of photos I took this evening.

It would be so pretty if it was Christmas time, but doesn't Mother Nature know it's April 18th?! Our average high temperature on this date is 60 degrees, and by this time last year, I had mowed the grass four times. *SIGH*

Hope you enjoy your weekend and that it's sunny and warm where you are! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Gorgeous card Barb. I love the gradient colors. I am sure you are done with snow. Crazy that it is still coming. Thankfully the warm weather had arrived here. We're hitting the little guys baseball games!

Barb, I LOVE the pretty colors of your card...gorgeous gradient, amazing design! I hope the snow stops soon...for heaven's sakes! I know how busy spring can be (it is definitely MY crazy time), so I'm glad you were able to find some time to make a card. It was worth the wait...it is awesome!

This is just gorgeous Barb. I love these colors together and you have used them beautifully. How do you like working with the letters? I have been thinking of getting some but was wondering about using them in a "negative cut" for a card. And I hear ya with the snow......so done with it!

The snow looks very pretty but NOT at this time of year! Just like you, I long for the sun so very much! Love your card, those colors remind me of the sea!

adorable card Barb. I can't believe you are getting such horrid weather. I know that we have been having a long summer and our autumn is late coming... but snow in mid April is not good.

Sure hope spring arrives in full force for you soon!! It is a bit up and down here - 80's yesterday, 40's tomorrow!

Just love the shading on your inky spot background, Barb - looks just like the falling snow - LOL! I'm soooo glad I'm missing that weather; it's been in the 80s and should get up to 90 today. Not that I'm rubbing it in or anything...

I was thinking about you when I heard Minn. was getting more snow--hard to believe when I see the sun & flowers here. Love this beautifully inked card! I've never seen the salty ocean ink--fabulous combo!

WOW, great card, Barb! Your white embossed spots must have been inspired by your beautiful photos ~ I know you are NOT feeling the love of more snow falling, but you sure have captured it's beauty in the pictures.
