What a Difference!

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to pop in quickly to share a card before heading outside. Yup, that's right, I said, "OUTSIDE!" What a difference a few days make! Just four days ago, my yard looked like this:

With how heavy the snow was, I felt bad for my droopy pine tree!

But it truly was beautiful on the trees.

The weight of the snow really did a number on my front bushes too!

Fast forward four days later - it's a gorgeous day here today - temps in the low 70's and the difference makes me so happy!

My front bushes will survive. . . .

. . . .and so will my pine tree.  Can't wait until everything is budding and more green! Won't be long now!

I couldn't wait any longer to start getting my pots out on the deck! And do ya see that square-shaped area just behind the big tree? That's my veggie garden. It'll have to wait awhile longer to be planted because we can still get very cold temps at night this time of year, but I've got them started inside the house.

I am one happy girl today - I have the day off from work and I've already made a card too.

I adhered my die-cuts to some white cardstock, then adhered some
tissue paper over them with Studio, Multi-Medium. After letting them dry, I cut them out again and used them on my card. I love the soft texture!

Can ya tell by the pretty colors I'm definitely in springtime mode?!

Okay, I'm headin' outside! Hope you enjoy your weekend! :)

Wow, what a difference a few day would make! The contrast of your yard is amazing with the changes of weather. No matter how we loath the length of winter, I know the changes of 4 seasons do make us appreciate the Mother Nature all that much more! And about that card--another wow! The use of sequins and tissue paper are awesome! Do craft/play more today!

This is why I like where we live - wouldn't it be boring if it was FL all the time? I don't think we'd appreciate the spring and summer and fall if we didn't have winter! LOVE your card today, Barb!

Love your butterflies. the weather in Buffalo does the same thing. Today it's 75 a couple of days ago it was freezing.

I can see how you are hanging out for Spring-time Barb, but I have to say the snow scenes are mystical and magical. How symbolic then that you have made a card that has a transient theme; two completely different pictures that both relate metamorphism; they change into such beauty.
Wonderful card.
Smiles:)

I can hardly believe the difference in 4 days either. WOW

We're supposed to have weather in the high 90s here again today. We see snow on the mountains, but never in the valley here.

Thanks for that wonderful card - sure has me in spring time mode!

Your card is just beautiful.. perfect spring colors! And it's amazing how quickly the weather changes these days.. and drastically, too! I call it 'whiplash weather'... one day there's 6 inches of snow on the ground, and 36 hours later its melted and warm and sunny! Heehee :) Best wishes with yoru garden! That's something I want to tackle at some point in my life, but I am usually such a black thumb, HA. :P
