Summer Card Camp 2 - Day 4

Happy weekend!

I've been trying to catch up with my homework and want to show you my card for Day 4 of class. They gave us a challenge to create a card in 10 minutes - yikes! I've never tried that before. They did say that it was all right to have everything you are going to use, set out and ready to go before hitting the stopwatch - whew! That really helped!

A very simple card, that's for sure. I quickly die-cut the clouds and bird, colored them with markers and adhered them to the panel. I did add some Stickles to the bird for a bit more interest. You might think that die-cutting would make it more time consuming but it actually makes it quicker, as Kristina showed us.

It doesn't look like this card would take too long to create but I kept changing my mind on the design. Then it took me forever to get all the little back pieces off the dimensional adhesive I used to attach my white panel!

I used a few of the colors from this week but did not stay too close to any of the sketches. I don't think a couple of the cards shared in the lesson did either, so I figured it would be okay.

As you can see, I made it in just under 10 minutes!

I'm hoping to catch up on day 5 tonight or tomorrow. The cards they shared that day were so awesome!

Thanks for coming by - enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

You may now add to your resume: works well under pressure! Ha! This was a challenge, Barb. But you rallied and the result is so sweet. Love the rick-rack base.

Well done Barb, that's an amazing creation for under 10 min! Maybe I should challenge myself to only 10 min cards, that way I can perhaps stop the procrastination and over analysing! Love those pink clouds, so soft!
