Yummy Pink and Green

Hi there!

If you know me at all, you know I love the combination of pink and green. These two colors are just so pretty together, don't ya think? Anyway, I've got two cards to share today. The first one is very simple and uses a gorgeous rose stamp which I received from my secret Santa, Sally.

I colored the rose with watercolor pencils, cut it out, mounted it to the card base with dimensional adhesives and added some dashed lines with a white gel pen. The small, adorable sentiment was also from Sally. Thank you, Sally! ♥

My second card uses the beautiful, new die from Simon Says Stamp called, Clustered Leaves. It's a huge die and so fun to play with!

I also used their Small Love You die. I cut it out five times and layered it up for some dimension. The leaves were cut several times too, from the mint green and pink cardstocks, and also from vellum. I love the softness from overlaying the vellum! I couldn't help but add a bit of shimmer with a Wink of Stella pen.

It's been bitter cold here lately. Our temps have been down right scary-cold and they say it's gonna be even colder by the beginning of next week - yikes!  When I woke up this morning, our temp was -13 below zero and windy. With the windchill, they say it was -25 below zero! I must admit though - I would rather have the cold air than the huge amounts of snow that some of my friends are getting in other parts of the country. Here's hoping the rest of winter goes by REALLY fast!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope it's warmer where you are! ♥

Yummy is an understatement, Barb! I love how you added definition to the rose with your watercolor pencils and of course this color combo is downright gorgeous!

I knew you were going to get the 'Clustered Leaves' die, and wow! Adding layers of pink and green with vellum is so clever, and your WOS pen makes the leaves and sentiment so sparkly! Both cards are just beautiful, Barb!

Yes, I do love these colors together, Barb! Your cards are so pretty; it is fun to see
what others do with new products.

By next week, we will be having record low temps, too. I know that it will be even colder there where you are. Spring can't come soon enough for me either!!!

both your cards are so pretty - i'm loving the new SSS clustered leaves die too - so pretty how you used it with the vellum overlay.

nebraska is bitter cold too - but no icy roads so that helps.

My mother painted our bathroom in pink and green when I was young and I had a couple of pink and green outfits so I am partial to this colour combo, too. Very nice cards!

I love how delicately you colored the rose!! Beautiful, Barb.

Down to 16 degrees here tonight, on top of the rain we've had all day ... yikes!
